    Ike the Dewalt has a design flaw in my opinion with the motor. The carbon brushes are soft carbon and when the motor runs it of course makes carbon dust out of the brushes. The motor has no where for the carbon dust to go and the carbon dust is conductive, this can short out your motor over time. If they would put a little harder carbon brush in the motor this would not happen as often. Did you use the GRP ( Guaranteed Repair Price ) program that Dewalt has? DW

    When tightening the blade you should pluck the blade and hear a TING sound It should be crisp and clear when you pluck it. I have a DW788 and when I tension it is right around 3 1/2. DW

    Nicely done on both. That second one looks like the Disney Script and it really stands out, I think I like that one a little better than the more traditional one on the left. She is going to love them. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW

    I use a harbor freight special and it works well for what I use it for. Just need to ensure that you have a vac for it. DW
