  1. I have been asked to give a scroll saw demo at our county fair. This is for the N.W Ohio woodworkers guild. I am a member and they asked me to do a demo at the booth during the fair. The demo is only a hour long but need a small project to do as well as explaining about scrolling and the saw. I have a couple ideas, just not sure. I would like to have some of what ever I'm doing done so people can take one. My idea was a cutting of a "round 2 it". I always here people saying "when I get around to it". I would make it small about the size of a silver dollar? Any other idea. I am also give a couple turning demo's, but that is with a partner and he has most of that covered(as far as what we are doing).

  18. My kids are all grown. I try to get a couples hours a night in the shop, but sometimes it don't happen. It's been hot so it been even hotter in my shop. And working all day in the heat , I really don't feel like going out to the shop. I ussually get some done on weekends, then I can cool the shop for the day.
  19. I use it alot, besides intarsia. I use it a lot to take saw marks off pieces cut on tablesaw or bandsaw, and squre up my segmented pen blanks, among other things. to me it is very handy.
  20. Dan I have one I bought three + years ago from Menards. It's not a major brand name but it works great and I give it a workout when I'm doing my intarsia. It looks similar to the one harbor freight has. I think I paid about the same when I bought mine. If your going to do more intarsia I would get one. I didn't have a lot to spend when I bought it but it works great. And it gets used alot. I don't know how I got by without it. I buy the sanding drums from harbor freight too. They sell it in a set(one for each drum size), and it works great. once you have one you'll be surprised at how much you'll use it.
  21. great job DW. I like the clock. good luck at the show.
