Paint the base color a dark color....let that dry completely.....put a thin layer of wood glue or Elmer’s school glue on it, when “tacky” put your top coat on in one direction.....let dry & let the cracking begin.....depends how thick of glue layer for how long it take to dry.....mine took 8 hrs( I used too much!) YouTube has videos on it....

They could be for outside under a covered front porch.....plywood lettering will separate if it gets wet.....

Just finished up these plaques with crackle paint finish(wood glue is the secret).....1x8 lumber for main plaque with a routed fancy edge......name & decorations are 1/4" sanded ply painted black.....pleased with the way they turned out......2ft wide.....used "Bigtop" font on this one.....Comments are always appreciated. Thank you

I got off work at 6am Friday morning.....slept til noon.....then hit it hard yesterday & today.....got 5 snowmen done....got 9 angel ornaments done (red Elm).....another penguin done.....6 cell phone holders personalized with initials.....& 4 "strength crosses cut and painted.....this boy is whipped....back to work at 6am tomorrow....comments are always appreciated....ty.
