  2. My twins will be graduating from high school this Sunday, also the baseball team won back to back regional championships, so I was inspired to make this sign, we are called the Fulton Steamers, it is on the banks of the mighty Mississippi river, made from 1x4 pine, I used 1/4" luan for black stuff, I used my Kreg jig to join all of the angle pieces, I am pretty proud of this one.....tell me what you think.
  3. I just completed this today, 24" in diameter, all cut on my 20" DW788 I edge glued 1X6 boards together, I also used pocket holes to join together, cut and painted, then glued/nailed all layers.Comments as always.........I put a tutorial together w/pics and posted it in the tutorial section.
  4. Glued & screwed with carriage bolts Roly
  5. It's my turn to give back to the community today, I am donating these 2 leopold benches to a local place in town called Heritage Canyon, this is a place that takes you back in time.......they will get plenty of use I hope..... http://www.cityoffulton.us/visit-fulton/fulton-attractions/heritage-canyon.html
  6. Just threw this together in 20 minutes this morning.......box is made from cedar and ends are a 2x6.......... all cuts are at 15°.......drilled 3 drainage holes in bottom.....cost is $5 or so to make.......very simple but a great way to spruce up your deck.....comments as always. Thanks
  7. It does not say Harley Davidson on it anywhere.
  8. I like that a lot!! Great work!
  9. I just completed my 1st Harley patio chair, all made from pressure treat wood,3- 2x4's & 4- 1x4's, 1 2x6, and 1 small piece of walnut, not much scrolling here except for the lower Harley logo that was cut from 3/8" dark walnut, I am pleased with the results, tell me what you think.
  10. Thank you for all the generous comments.........great family here for sure.
  11. It's as simple as this........ http://vid471.photobucket.com/albums/rr75/smitty0312/Mobile%20Uploads/trim.6892D9C6-F229-4AB5-9F5E-B6BD163BF764_zpswqsp7uiu.mp4
  12. I spent around 7 hrs. on it........
  13. Yippee......the 1st folding picnic table/bench is done!! 1st one is always the hardest, so I hope the next goes a little faster than today.....I am pleased the way it turned out......I am thinking of adding a last name to the backrest to personalize it when it is in "bench" mode,,,,,,all made from pressure treated lumber(10- 2x4's).......glued/screwed joints.....cost is right at $50......comments as always
  14. Great job Kevin
  15. Thanks Marg, but a lady was the 1st to contact me for one of these.......so it's not just a man thing.....lol
  16. Actually Len I tried, but the 2x6 cross member was in the way, if I build another, I will try to lower the cooler, as it sits, the cooler height is perfect for me for an armrest and the outside ones are a little low for me.
  17. I had the plans free off the net, but it had a table in the middle, I made the chairs by the plans, then fabricated the middle without plans for the cooler.....took a little while but i got it. here's the site http://www.diypete.com/diy-project-plans/
  18. Great work Perk......I love it!!
  19. Sorry guys, no scrolling with this one, but I thought I would share it, , all made from pressure treated wood to last outdoors longer (would recommend staining in a year after wood cures to make last even longer), has a spicket for easy draining, could hook hose to it too, also has a rustic bottle opener on front for when you need it, this thing is built like a tank, plan called for just screws for whole project but I used lag bolts for the main frame (very solid)....Tell me what you think!! Thank You.
  20. Love it.....impressive
  21. Had a whisky lover that wanted me to make him a plaque of the label from his whisky bottle........red oak.......comments please. Thank you.
  22. Got the rustic bottle opener added.
  23. Worked most of the day Sunday figuring out dimensions & building, I am pleased with the finished product, has a Coleman 48qt. cooler inside, all is made from cedar fence pickets, I am leaving it natural, I plan on adding a bottle opener to front( I have not received them yet), all of the plumbing is 1/2".........response to these have been excepional, now I have 7 more to make.......comments all welcome
  24. Not much scrolling on these, but I'm building these cooler boxes for the upcoming warm season, made from cedar, I may add a scrolled letter or logo on the front from dark walnut to give it a more personal touch.....has a 48 qt. Coleman cooler in it, spicket on side for drainage also.
  25. Stunning piece.........I love it!!
