  1. I got my yard set up for the holiday season the other day just in time, yesterday we got 10" of snow.....comments as always please.

I want to upgrade my 12" sliding miter saw, I have an off brand which has treated me well, but all of us men want the best they can afford & thought I might buy myself a good Christmas present this year.........been looking at both Ridgid & Dewalt brands........Ridgid has the best warranty(lifetime), but I think Dewalt saws are better quality......can anybody weigh in on this?

Just finished this little project, "Love Shelf".......another 2x4 project........stained dark walnut, then distressed with sander.......I made this in 2 pieces to hang separate on wall........could also be put all together with a base to sit on floor.........great way to show off your family and favorite knick knacks........comments please....that's how we get better. Thank you.

Here's my sled that stands 6ft. tall, again made from 2X4's, but instead of painting I burned the wood with a torch then sanded to "blend" in, kinda gives it an older look which I was going for, I don't plan on sealing because i want it to "weather" to give it more character.........still want to add rusty strap of some kind to attach middle board and steer handle........no scrolling here but thought somebody might like the idea.......used a 3/8" sisal rope for the pull rope.......comments as always please.....Thank You
  11. 2X4's are inexpensive.......once painted, they look pretty good.........I am planning on building a larger sled, no paint this time, but burned then sanded and left natural to weather.....anxious for the results.......I plan on hanging a wreath on it........

  16. I use thin Luan or hardboard for my templates.

  20. I made templates for repeatability for the "parts".........then no wasting paper/ink when printing.......I only print the name........

Here's my snowman version, it is very heavy because it is made from 2X4 stock, this one won't blow over (very easy), it stands 3ft tall and 2ft wide, added a little straw sticking out of his hat, contoured the top of the hat for a little more detail......can add any short message to hat/brim, or even an initial.......messages like....."Got Snow?......-32° needed........"Dreaming Of Snow" ........"Welcome"........"The (your last name)..... the possibilities are endless.............used luan for the face.......comments please
