  1. My twins will be graduating from high school this Sunday, also the baseball team won back to back regional championships, so I was inspired to make this sign, we are called the Fulton Steamers, it is on the banks of the mighty Mississippi river, made from 1x4 pine, I used 1/4" luan for black stuff, I used my Kreg jig to join all of the angle pieces, I am pretty proud of this one.....tell me what you think.
  2. I just completed this today, 24" in diameter, all cut on my 20" DW788 I edge glued 1X6 boards together, I also used pocket holes to join together, cut and painted, then glued/nailed all layers.Comments as always.........I put a tutorial together w/pics and posted it in the tutorial section.
  3. I just finished this today, totally all cut on 20" scroll saw, I thought I would do a quick tutorial of how I did it, I took a few pictures along the way, first I used 3/4" 1x6 pine for project, this was made in 3 layers to give it a 3D look, it measures 24" for the red circle, 20" for the white circle, cut 5 boards 25" long for the 24" red circle. cut 4 boards 21" long for the 20" circle, now edge glue boards together( I used my Kreg jig with pocket holes too), once that is done, find center on each set of boards, draw a 24" circle on the larger boards, then draw a 20" circle on the shorter boards, I made a 20 template from 1/4" under layment for tracing baseball threads & repeatable tracing, once that was cut, I used it to trace threads on the the smaller circle so I could cut them out, now before you can cut this on the scroll saw, you will need to cut the corners off your boards to allow for it to turn in your 20" scroll saw, drill entry holes for your cuts, then cut both circles and threads, now do some general sanding and paint separately, you will need good quality paint & put 2 coats on, once paint has dried, center & glue/nail together, you can cut a number or logo to finish like I did. Hope you have good luck.
  4. Glued & screwed with carriage bolts Roly
  5. It's my turn to give back to the community today, I am donating these 2 leopold benches to a local place in town called Heritage Canyon, this is a place that takes you back in time.......they will get plenty of use I hope..... http://www.cityoffulton.us/visit-fulton/fulton-attractions/heritage-canyon.html
  6. Just threw this together in 20 minutes this morning.......box is made from cedar and ends are a 2x6.......... all cuts are at 15°.......drilled 3 drainage holes in bottom.....cost is $5 or so to make.......very simple but a great way to spruce up your deck.....comments as always. Thanks

  8. I like that a lot!! Great work!
  9. I just completed my 1st Harley patio chair, all made from pressure treat wood,3- 2x4's & 4- 1x4's, 1 2x6, and 1 small piece of walnut, not much scrolling here except for the lower Harley logo that was cut from 3/8" dark walnut, I am pleased with the results, tell me what you think.
  10. Thank you for all the generous comments.........great family here for sure.
  11. It's as simple as this........ http://vid471.photobucket.com/albums/rr75/smitty0312/Mobile%20Uploads/trim.6892D9C6-F229-4AB5-9F5E-B6BD163BF764_zpswqsp7uiu.mp4

  13. Yippee......the 1st folding picnic table/bench is done!! 1st one is always the hardest, so I hope the next goes a little faster than today.....I am pleased the way it turned out......I am thinking of adding a last name to the backrest to personalize it when it is in "bench" mode,,,,,,all made from pressure treated lumber(10- 2x4's).......glued/screwed joints.....cost is right at $50......comments as always
  14. Going to try to build this folding picnic table/bench this weekend, it is made solely out of 2x4's.......a bunch of moving parts and angles to contend with.......cost is right at $50.........
  15. Great job Kevin
  16. Thanks Marg, but a lady was the 1st to contact me for one of these.......so it's not just a man thing.....lol
  17. Actually Len I tried, but the 2x6 cross member was in the way, if I build another, I will try to lower the cooler, as it sits, the cooler height is perfect for me for an armrest and the outside ones are a little low for me.
  18. I had the plans free off the net, but it had a table in the middle, I made the chairs by the plans, then fabricated the middle without plans for the cooler.....took a little while but i got it. here's the site http://www.diypete.com/diy-project-plans/
  19. Great work Perk......I love it!!
  20. Sorry guys, no scrolling with this one, but I thought I would share it, , all made from pressure treated wood to last outdoors longer (would recommend staining in a year after wood cures to make last even longer), has a spicket for easy draining, could hook hose to it too, also has a rustic bottle opener on front for when you need it, this thing is built like a tank, plan called for just screws for whole project but I used lag bolts for the main frame (very solid)....Tell me what you think!! Thank You.
  21. Love it.....impressive
  22. Had a whisky lover that wanted me to make him a plaque of the label from his whisky bottle........red oak.......comments please. Thank you.
  23. Got the rustic bottle opener added.
  24. Worked most of the day Sunday figuring out dimensions & building, I am pleased with the finished product, has a Coleman 48qt. cooler inside, all is made from cedar fence pickets, I am leaving it natural, I plan on adding a bottle opener to front( I have not received them yet), all of the plumbing is 1/2".........response to these have been excepional, now I have 7 more to make.......comments all welcome
  25. Not much scrolling on these, but I'm building these cooler boxes for the upcoming warm season, made from cedar, I may add a scrolled letter or logo on the front from dark walnut to give it a more personal touch.....has a 48 qt. Coleman cooler in it, spicket on side for drainage also.
