I purchased my hegner as a used machine, the bloke who sold it said it came from a school where it was used in wood class for about 10 years,well that was about 15 years ago and it's still going strong,the only thing I replaced on it is the top clamp, I changed from a standard one too a quick clamp, real game changer

I just replaced the motor on my joiner,its not the same make as the joiner but it does have a stepped pull on it,not sure what speed it does,question I'm asking is does it matter if it works a higher speed than the original, I'm only going by the tone of the machine, or would I be better running it at a slower speed
