  1. correct dan,i glued up some pieces too make the backer,mahogany pieces that was originaly a bed head

  3. i did glue the piece down,i just used the nail so the 2 pieces wouldnt slip,before i squeezed the clamps, i know i regret it now,we learn by our mistakes
  4. len,your spot on, those nails were all i had at the time,and regreted using them almost as soon as i put them in,they were mainly used too pin the 2 layers together while it was in the clamps,.....lesson learnt....must take more time clamping up in future

  11. hi all,this is my first piece too be done this year,i made it for a friend i will be visiting at te end of the month over in london ,england.i got the pattern for it here at the scrollsaw village,but cannot remember who made the pattern,if i knew i would credit them for it,its a great pattern,i sized it up so it finished 17 x 17 inchs. sorry about the quality of the picture fouund it.......pattern by wild bill
  12. hi malcom, welcome,you will find lots of tips and help here on the forum,also some great work, im from ireland,but ive been here on the forum for a while ,folks here are realy helpful. i use a 18 inch hegner,i find it too be a great machine

  15. somse of ye may remember me posting this a while back, and im not sure if this is the right place too post this, made this a long time back ,and want too do another one again, but unfortunatly ive lost some of the pattern,and im hoping by jogging yere minds someone may know where i might find the pattern too this,even a copy of it,i have the main panel, im missing the pattern for the frame and pattern for the 2 scrolls in the middle of the panel regards....tony

  22. i made the lettered piece from 3mm ply,the backer from 18 mm ply,sandwiched a blue paper strip behind the lettering befoer glueing it up.

  24. made another one of these lately,this time as a supprise too a friend of ours,i added his childs name, pattern by keith fenton,ive made quite a few now,as this item is quite popular.
