  1. well ,ive had a think and changed the background colour to red,like i did with the first one i made many years back,definetly think red is better ,

  3. i made it with ,pine for the frame,then wrapped it with mahogany,i used ash for the vines on the frame,mahogany again for the circular pieces on the main section,i had a limited choice of wood but i think it turned out fine.
  4. hi all, ive been away from the forum for a bit,but my recent piece i thaught deemed worthy of sharing, its a light of the world piece,designed by the late dirk boelman, made from MAHOGANY,ASH,PINE,AND PLY,

  6. thanks for the pattern russell, yes it was funny both of them sticking there tongues out,but that was the only photo i had at hand, and would you believe it they put up another...better.....piture shortly after. turned out all good though,they loved it.

  8. no len,it was rather a large piece and find stack cutting would be realy awkawrd,the photo for my son is a picture of his friends so this wont be stacked either.
  9. no kev,i used my scrollsaw,havent used the hand fretsaw in a while.still have it though,gets dusted down now and again...lol

  18. just want too say hi to my friends here on the scrollsaw village, ive not been here for a while, firstly my computer crashed earlier on this year,and i didnt have the funds ffor a replacement,so any internt ing was only done on my phone, secondly ive been working on getting a oil heating system installed in my home,so this kept me away from scrolling for a while,, and third..when my computer crashed i lost all my passwords etc,and its only now i got back on here, SO GLAD TOO BE BACK AGAIN,

  23. thanks guys,i did all the sanding with my d,i y belt sander,clamped too my bench,wondering could i do better with a proper sander....
  24. here is a intarsia piece i made recently, i dont realy do much intarsia ,so im quite happy the way this piece turned out made from mahogany and i think its ash,correct me if im wrong judy gayle roberts pattern
