  1. Here's a short video by Carter Johnson. If you search the internet you'll find some other tutorials. https://youtu.be/gQDlGUhVom4
  2. From what I remember, GFCI monitors the current differential between the hot and neutral wires. If the difference is 0 amps all is good and the circuit is happy (doesn't trip). Characteristics of a DC motor when it is operating properly can cause a differential between the hot and neutral wires causing the GFCI to trip. The trip point of GFCI can vary slightly and the differential in DC motors can vary significantly. Ma y manufacturers of power tools put the statement about GFCI in their literature to reduce the number of calls about tripping GFCI (as long as the user reads the information). GFCI were designed to protect against electrical shock to people (like using a hair dryer in the bath tub). If your tools work on a GFCI keep using it. If not, you could install a separate outlet for those tools.
  3. Awesome!
  4. I also got some bearings for my bandsaw. I think from Intech and spent about $25 for 6 bearings.
  5. Excellent! The finish is superb Bruce. And thanks for your service.
  6. Looks great.
  7. Also check ebay. Sometimes you can get some older issues, but they may be without the patterns. Still good reading.
  8. I agree with Jerry. I had to change some bearings and used a C-clamp. Pretty easy.
  9. I'm about a day and 1:30 minutes away. I'll put it on my calendar. If I go I'll look you up. How much do you charge for room and board?
  10. Let's do it! I appoint Marg to set it up and we can all fly to the land down under for a week. Any seconds?
  11. I have cut 3/4" cherry that was over 26" tall. Spirals were not an option for me. I had to cut as much as I could in one direction then remove the blade and swing the work and cut in the opposite direction. What a PITA. A deeper throat would have made it much easier.
  12. Dan

    A.K. Special

Any time you C1 (see one) you open it (beer bottle).
  13. I love how they came out. Very creative.
  14. Yes, I think it's a great idea. I did something similar with holiday decorations and most folks preferred the unfinished ones. The puzzles help develop motor skills and the paint inspires their imagination.
  15. Love the story. That has got to be a great feeling. Congrats!
  16. No Facebook for me either. Jerry, I guess if you tell me you posted a video of you building the ark with Noah I'd have to believe you.
  17. Where did you catch that monster?
  18. I have a simple and easy to see 90° jig to set the table to the blade. Then I use the Wixey angle gauge to set the angle I need.
  19. I agree. But more than that I wonder why people don't put their name in the signature.
  20. That's Jim. I was just talking to my wife about finding a few albums. There are 4 thrift stores within 10 minutes of home.
  21. Neat idea.
  22. Those are great Roly! If you make about 393,456 more you might be able to catch up with Kevin. Lol
  23. Love them. Especially the Canoe.
  24. Nice!
