Yes you are right , but it was a rush job -- and yes I will use MDF if I make another one of these . But this piece came out of the burn pile any way .......

This is another of Steve Good's Patterns , I cut this for a customer that shipped it off for one of his Grandchildren that loved cats . I used 1/2" Hard Maple and spray painted it flat Black , he really liked it too .......any comments welcome .........

I wish I could help Len , but since you have posted this It made me think . If you had a copy of Scrollsaw woodworking & Crafts magazine she has a pattern of her's in it with her e-mail address in the magazine { Sorry I double checked and it's not there } . Maybe she will show up sooner or later .......

I'm not trying to cover this site up with my work , but I've busy for last four weeks out in the shop . I made this Plaque for my brother-in-law for one of his friends to be made and mailed out before Christmas . We forgot to take a final picture of the finished project for I was on a dead-line to get it to my brother-in-law . Never the less he loved it , and he said his buddy loved also ......any way any comments are welcome .....

Kevin I'm too slow to make a truck for sure , I guess this is why it's called cutom work . I do try to take my time on these projects , for I've have learned the hard way that trying to go fast you seen to mess up more ............thanks for the come- back .......

I cut these Saturday - two Serpent and two more Gothis Letter Openers , I dipped them in Lemon oil and after a couple of days laying out I"ll put a couple of coats of clear Satin Lacquer on them . I'll be a little ahead for Chistmas 2011 , made from 1/4" Walnut which I milled up myself from 4"X4" stock . Any comments welcome ....I'll switch to making something else to post and not bore you with my letter openers .... And of course these Patterns came from Steve Good's web-site also

Phil I attached a 4" X 4" on the rear of my saw some time ago and for those long extented hours on the saw - it really help my back from getting sore .......

I have made a bunch of these name plates before Christmas and I have orders for about five more after Christmas , I told my customers that shop was closed until after the the 1st of the year . It's my hobby and I'm the Boss - I told them I'm sorry but these were the rules if they wanted me to make the name plates for them - they had no problem with this .......any comments welcome .......

Nice work , where did you come up with the Orange oil - I've been looking for it . I use a lot of lemon oil but would like to try the Orange oil too .......
