I can say starting out in the shop I my consider this tool , but it looks like this could have a plastic housing and I have learned the hard way to stay away from tools that have a plastic housings . In my thoughts the brand has a lot going for it { A Good Brand }, but I'll just keep using the other shop tools I have and stay away from these plastic housing tools - ! I can't see where it do as good a job in my scrolling as my Dewalt scrollsaw - --No Way ----Thanks Kevin for the video - a great selling point .......there's always going someone to come up with something to take your money----people need to consider the long team with this tool -will it hold up........the reason I'm against Plastic houing I had a table saw that after a couple of years of light use - somehow got a crack in the mounting and after that I decided no more large Plastic woodworking toolsfor me......... .

Nice Bowl , never heard Of Orange oil before either .......I made a couple that were made of hard birds-eye-Maple -here they are , never seen them out of Birch plywood before .......

This a pretty job Kevin , I just printed this pattern a couple of days ago . The red string is a good idea - I'll keep this in mine when I cut this one ....nice Christmas present for sure .....thanks again for showing ...........Marshall

I've made several of these and socked them in Lemon oil , and added several coats of Laquer later after a couple of days out of the lemon oil ...this pattern came from Steve Good's web-site.....any comments welcome .........these had been a big hit with the family .......also these were made of Walnut ...

Kenney it can be so many different things , you can try cleaning the jaws up with a small file . Check the groves to see if they need to be gently filed to correct the groved places , and also try not to force your material when sawing . The blade needs to do the cutting , also some oil may have been put on the blade holder , over all good cleaning for the jaws . And if its not square to the table it could be causeing some problem too , to much tension can also cause you some problems too .I wore the jaws out on a Craftman scroll-saw and replaced it with a Dewalt 788 several years ago > more of a production saw . And I'm sure their are some other great mines on here to maybe be of some help too .....P.S. hopefully your jaws are not bad . ............Marshall

Most of the projects I make I give away for presents , do sell some . during the hot part of the year here I don't do much scrolling at all . Mine is a Winter time hobby or should I say a cool weather hobby .....................Marshall

There's no better way to put it , a third hand> I would never be without my foot switch. Harbor Frieght is a great place to buy a foot switch at a great price if you have one of these stores close to you . I brought one at another mail order store and payed shipping and I feel like I got suckered > my fault > so price around , later I brought another one at Harbor Frieght dirt cheap > the same thing made over seas . Sometimes when we get in a rush we make wrong decisions and give to much ...........Marshall
