There's been a fat Freddys sub shop here for as long as I can remember.I sold a $20. Name there and someone ordered 3 more larger names coming soon.I decided to make a thank you placque for their counter.It's exactly as their sign looks inside and outside the building.Won't they be surprised.!this ones 10.75" wide and 5.5" tall ,Plywood and a hardwood base.The letters were cut out and raised for a nice effect.Painting is not what im good at.I floated the paint on the letters and they looked real real good like plastic.But when it dried it don't look so hot.lol.I'm going to clear it so it stays clean from people gawking at it,lol.It got rained on under the shop part of the placque,

Real fishermen wear earrings,lolI can aculaly feel the pain!I'll bet that had to cost over $800. bucks.You great in taking quality pictures.top notch well done project Luis!Stick to scrolling,lol

Mister Wesley,I'm proud of your gracious attempts in the first project.You started long runs and went from beginning to end without starting and stopping.Very good concentration!Your a Wizz on the turns ,you get in and out without burning the corners turning about faceA quality i lacked for quite a awhile,Your a born natural scroller from day one!1/4" wood i'd use a #3,#2,#1 or a#2/0 blade to avoid chipping the wood on thin stock.Looks like your fireing on all cylinders in the second picture.You learned fast and are scrolling with the best of them now.Good job.Don't miss a day here so many tips and tricks given out readily every day.Your the apple of our eye posting pictures so soon.A picture tells the whole story for us.Your also batting a 100 now with you new found hobby,glad you found us , you've made friends today ,more tomorrow,Welcome

Reclean everything again as they got contaminated with the oil left on the holders you missed the first time,lol Don't forget not to touch the ends of the blades too!but you're well experienced at that!

Yes sir ,Glad to have you here.I sat i the shadows for a year before i commented on the forum(chicken,lol)We hope to learn from all your experiience you have scrolling!I gave away a type 1 dewalt ,still use a type 1 dewalt and have a brand new one ,type 2,on the shelf So we think alike on the dewalts!They are one quite machine and with all the creature comforts!Looking forward to seeing you post here in the village,pictures to ,we love to eyeball others work,lol Show us your shop too where all the fun is everyday,Larry's got the free breakfast down to a science so join on in for coffe ,tea and what evers cookin daily.You'll have a ball here!Welcome!

Thanks Marge,My mind races around so much thinking about this and that I have terrible trouble with circles as you need to keep a sharp eye and stay right on the line.If you stray a little get right back on as fast as you can then there's less of a mistake to fix (sanding).I too need to let snails pass me when doing circles.It's to easy to stray if you don't ,plus when you cut slow when you make a boo boo it won't be but a pencil line away from where it's suposed to be!

Ike i did several 3 ' long lines with a spiral non stop,useing my finger as a fence guide.White pine was the wood and the whole complete John 3:16 was done inthe infamous spiral! click on the picture twice for larger veiw

Sir, yes sir, I am confused as to the correct spelling of millions of words in my head not used regularly,lol.Why thank you kind gracious sir! I enjoyed cutting this one.New sites, new twists ,something different and unusual skills used here on this project is the iceing on the cake .Very fluid designed project.Like going down a road you've never been on is what it felt like cutting this one.Placques seem to sell faster than other things i do.The wood was or is drawer bottoms 1/4" shiny on one side 7.75" circle two layers :cool:The round holes were cut with the scroll saw too.

Looks like i'm on a plaque kick lately.Something different is nice for a change of pace.This one came from Scrollsaw Workshop In the yellow catologe.I used a #3 SCROLL REVERSE BLADE,I'll probably paint the anchor silver later.I did a big cross very detailed recently but can't find it??? It's 16" tall and cannot hide, but did.

Well you said you sanded the blades and cleaned them,but did you do the same to the holders?
