  1. I would tap it with a small piece of wood (handle of a small wire brush size) to see if it breaks free...penatrating oil might help if tapping it doesn't work...I'm sure others will chime in with some sugestions. It might be a left hand thread?
  2. For thicker wood you need less teeth per inch on the blade so it has a chance to clear away the sawdust...for 2x.. I use a Royobe(sp) pin end blade from HD....cuts great at full speed..(no variable speed on my saw).. (you can tap the pins out to put the blades in your Dewalt)...they don't make tight turns like the small blades do though. Just my two cents.

  6. Clayton...I think you can change the blade clamps to the other side....just take the set screw out and the blade clamp out then switch sides...check it out...might be easier for you to change blades....I'm just going from memory here....hope it helps.
