  1. If i might make a sugestion im sure Mike would send a couple of reverse spirals to someone who wanted to give them a try i was thinking about asking when i reorder my next batch of spirals i think they are wonderful but havent tried the reverse spirals yet just a thought everything i have cut is been with a spiral the only problem i have is when i dont pay attention and put the blades in upside down duh... lol and i dont like to pound out the ends to make it flat but my next order will be the flat end spirals Marc
  2. i to have a dremel 1830 it has the lube points that were mentioned but it still squeeks after awhile the vibration i think is to much so i just keep the speed on the lower numbers as far as the spirals go i agree make sure you get the flat ends instead of the twisted ones like i have. thank god they are almost gone but what i did was take a small hammer and tap the ends flat and they do hold ok. when i bought my dremel i got it right from dremel and i thought they said they were discontinuing their scrollsaws so parts could be a problem anyone else hear that or did i mis understand which wouldnt surprise me either lol all in all its not a bad saw for the money marc

  8. whatever you decide to use remember that sawdust is very flamable and can cause an explosion someone sent me a video on a fire caused by saw dust it wasnt very pretty remember your fire extinguisher and dust control i was always a little nervouse when i used my k1 heater in my garage i live in maine and it was enough to take the chill off and made it tolerable i ended up putting in a descent wood stove i feel a little safer now that there is no open flames i set it and forget it marc

  10. i bought the 18" craftsman and returned it the same day i got it kept freezing up on me i then read the reviews on it and they to wernt to good the best thing bout the 18 was it came with a foot pedal. so i then ordered the dremel i figured i had pretty good luck with the antique one that i had hey cant go wrong but i was, it has alot of vibration on higher speeds and the upper arm is now squeeking quit a bit especialy after i been cutting for a while but that was all i could afford thinkin dremel has a descent name come to find out they are now dicontinuing the scroll saws. like it was mentioned earlyer ive seen several scroll saws listed on craigslist in the tool section $500 + saws for 2and 3hundred bucks marc
