  1. You just like teasing us and making us jealous dont you?
  2. I had a similar scrollsaw to that when I first started scrolling, but it went under the GMC badge. It had adapters that could only use pinned blades. I ended up getting some Hegner clamps in place of the other clamps. You will need to experiment a little with the best clamp positions (either on top of or below the upper and lower arms) and may require shimming with a washer to get the spacing right so the bottom clamp doesnt hit against the table.
  3. Hi Uwe, and welcome to the Village Personally I use Photoshop Elements to create my patterns, but a lot of people on here use GIMP to create their portrait patterns. GIMP is a free application and if you go to the Village University http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=24 you will find some great tutorials put together by Travis showing you how to use the application.

  8. Great work there Mike, glad to hear the EX21 is treating you very well. Im hoping to get a hold of a new one for myself in the next few month, so this review is making me want it even sooner
  9. Congrats on the great sale and the purchase of your new saw, sounds like you were really in need of a new one. That's how I bid on most of my Ebay auctions, saves driving the price up ... not good when you are the seller though
  10. haha great signs. I'd like to make the clean house one, but im afraid i'd probably get hit for it lol.

Hello Vince and welcome to the Village. What brand of saw did you buy? Let us know if we can help you with any questions you have.
  20. Congratulations Mark, it goes to show how it can pay off when you get your work out there and exposed to the general public. Im slowly getting mine out there, got an order to cut 50 keyrings for the kids school for Mother's day coming up. Not a big profit on this as the money is for the school to raise money, but im happy with what im getting paid to do it. They had already arranged for other things for Mothers day which is why they only wanted 50. But they said they are likely to want closer to 200 for keyrings for Father's day later in the year. I am hoping good things will come from the Boot Sale the school is organising early next month too.
  21. All I can say is good luck Marg! .. I tried them once and found it too hard to retrain my brain not to turn the piece as I would using a flat blade .. found they made a lot more fuzzies and need to be real careful on the delicate cuts.
  22. Great work Greg, hope it helps to raise a lot of money for them.
  23. Hi Mark, Talk to Mike at http://www.mikesworkshop.com/blades.htm and tell him what work you are doing and he will recommend the best blade for the job. I guess you could tell him you were referred to him by SSV. Glad things are going well in your scroll saw world, dont keep us in suspence too long though BTW, the main blades that I use for the work I do are Scroll Reverse FD-SR No.3 and No.5 blades.
  24. Hey Jim, thanks for doing my pattern, turned out good Will add it to my customers examples page on my website, if that's ok ... when I get it done that is
  25. Add me to the GARAGE list
