Nice work, the old cutting board now has a new life and im sure the tray will come in handy fo entertaining
  3. Congratulations Mark and well done for sticking with your aspirations and it has certainly bore fruit for you in the end Im sure your skill with your work is just as good as those on here, the fact you are making business from it is testament to that. Also, you have reached farther in your goals than I have achieved so far, by getting your work out there and showing it to the public and generating sales and more business.
  4. Nice idea with the pick boxes, lovely grain in the timbers too
  5. Looks good
  6. Very clever, nice addition to the train
  7. Looks great Mike, and the bark edge really does add to it
  8. Nice work on the puzzle John The pattern wasnt mine, I found it at: http://www.scrollsawlibrary.com/pattern/category/0/2 I just posted the pic as an example to see if thats the sort of puzzle you were after, but glad it helped anyway
  9. I agree, the others are too big and impersonal. You have the sections of the forum set out easier and its like an extended family here
  10. You have done real well. I have never had much luck with doing compound cuts on my scroll saw
  11. Steve Good has one too, but I much prefer the layout of this forum. Good group of people here too
  12. Do you sell your work? Yes Where do you sell? Word of mouth (at the moment) What do you sell? Keyrings mostly (until i get organised and cut other things to demonstrate what else can be made on the scroll saw) H'bout profitability? Do you make enough to keep yourself in saw blades and materials - Yes Extra money to buy some new tools/toys - Depends on the quantity sold Or enough to consider it a part-time/full-time business - Not reliable enough to consider this, plus would take enjoyment away from my hobby What piece of advice would you offer to someone who wants to start selling their work. - Get your work out there, gift to family, friends or colleagues and have them direct people to you if they get any enquiries about it.
  13. You might find some information on here too: http://www.saw-online.com/
