  1. My guess on the hours is about half a life time. I expect to see many new projects for years to come.
  2. You could put them up on Ebay if you don't want to open a booth. It is a shame to keep all that beautiful work all packed up in boxes where no one can enjoy it.
  3. If that is the case I know a lot of people with much worse looking fire wood hanging on there wall. Very nice work. I can't imagine how many hours you have spent in front of your saw making all these wonderful projects.
  4. Very Cute. I am sure they will love them.
  5. That looks Great! There is only one thing that comes to mind for a frame for that one. Duct tape.
  6. They are all wonderful work but I love the one of the deer. I have always loved the wildlife scroll art. Keep the pics coming!
  7. I love the rustic look. going to try some cedar ornaments shortly.
  8. Welcome aboard!!!! I have a brother in Cut banks, Mt. that has probably met you. Lol He drives truck for one of the oil companies. But other then a heavy foot he is a pretty good guy.
  9. Here are a couple pictures of the engraved photo. It looks much better in person. First picture is the one I scanned into the computer. Second is without light and the third is with the light.
  10. I am a machinist making parts for industries such as the steel, medical and food industries. I work with steel, plastics, brass and aluminum at work. But wood is my true passion. I have software that can take a regular picture and make a 3D solid out of it. Then I plan on making a one of a kind lighted picture engraved in Lexan (kind of like Plexiglas) out of it for my customers. I have one almost finished for my son’s wedding and would be glad to post a picture of it when it is finished if you would be interested in seeing it. As far as replacing the art and talent of hand crafted scroll saw projects I don’t believe that CNC machines will ever be able to do it. I have worked with end mills as small as .005 inch in aluminum and steel and it just takes too long and breaks too many end mills to be truly productive. I can put so much more detail in my fret work with my scroll saw with a fine blade and it is much more gratifying. Scroll on my friend you cannot be replaced by a machine.
  11. Hello from Stanton Ne. Really excited to find a forum with people that have the same interests as I have. I am looking forward to seeing all the great projects and sharing a few of my own. Also will be great to be able to learn from such talented people. I scroll for a hobby to settle my nerves after a hard day at work so will be nice to learn a few things from the masters of the scroll saw. Thanks for such a great forum and letting me be a part of it
  12. Hello from Stanton Nebraska! I have been scrolling for years but just found this wonderful forum. I am a CNC machinist during the day and find working on the scroll saw a wonderful way to chill out after a rough day at work. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing and learning from people that know so much more than me about scroll saw work.
