I made these out of 3/4" plastic pipe.

I went to Woodcraft and they had an Excalibur EX-16 set up to use. I cut a little 1/8 " plywood and it was nice. The thing I didn't like was it had quite a bit of vibration when turned up over half way. In it's defense it was on a wobbly wooden stand. I am going to go back and see if I can set it on the solid floor and see how the vibration is then.

Well I ordered some wood from Ocooch Hardwoods in JR' link. The prices look really good and the shipping was reasonable. I bought 2 boards 6" x 3/4" x24" and five boards 4" x3/4" x 24" and it came to $30 plus $11 shipping. I got a mixture of different hardwoods will have enough to do the two projects I have planned and have a lot left over.

Just curious if you all buy your wood local or on line. I have a Woodcraft close and for 1/4" x4" x 30" piece it's anywhere from $18 to $28. Does that sound about right.

Larry from what I have been reading the ex has an adjustment so you can also true the blade front to back as well as side to side. The DeWalt doesn't have that option. I saw a review on youtube where they stood a nickel on it's side and turned the saw on and the nickel didn't move. With the saw I have now I can't even do that with the nickel laying flat. Not sure if I'm going to get a new saw, just doing some research in case I do.

The thing that worries me about the DeWalt is I have been reading a lot of bad reviews. I can't remember where but there is a place with over 400 reviews and thirty percent of them got saws with bad tables. A couple of people had to return the saw three times before they got a good one. Then I have seen quite a few reviews where motors and arms wear out within a year. If I buy a new saw I don't want one that is high maintenance.

The DeWalt saw sells for $447 and the EX-16 for $574. If you had the money to buy either saw which one would you buy and why? Rusty

First of all I want to thank everybody that helped with their advice while I was making the pattern. I looked at it and figured I was done so I printed it and cut it out. Here it is.
