  1. I tried to print but it comes out too small. I tried to make it larger in paint, gimp and inkscape with no luck. I tried everything in the help menu and nothing worked.
  2. One of the problems I am having is with the 2/0 and 3/0 blades sometimes I break a lot of them. I cut slow so I know I'm not pushing too hard. I have tried different tensions from light to heavy. I am also only cutting 1/4" plywood one piece at a time. I think it's the saw. A guy I work with uses the same blades on a DeWalt saw and doesn't have that problem.
  3. I bought some new paper for backgrounds. It's shiny, kind of like foil and comes in a lot of different colors. A guy I work with called it chrome paper. I took the old paper off the rose I made and put this on. I like it much better. This is the rose with the new paper.
  4. I have been using 2/0 and #1 spiral blades and can do a lot better on the small tight stuff.
  5. I want to find the one I like before I buy in quantity. I did buy some Olson 5R blades and I can see where they would be good for long straight or curve cuts but I didn't like them for small cuts with a lot of direction changes.
  6. Thanks Barry I will stop at woodcraft when I am out today and pick up a pack. As far as the fuzzies a friend at work told me a little trick. I have a little butane soldering torch and if you run the flame along the back edges the fuzzies go away. I tried that on the two I ave done so far and it worked really good.
  7. Thanks for all the help everybody. Would the reverse blades be good for 1/4 inch plywood?

  9. Good luck, hope it goes good.
  10. Dick nothing is glued, it is all one piece. Thanks Marg. My Mothers name was Rose. My wife and I love roses. We have many rose bushes planted around the house. The trick is keeping the deer from eating them before they bloom.
  11. Looks like that kept you busy for a little while. Looking good.
  12. Thanks everybody. My wife loves roses. I need some practice before I start this other pattern I have that's a lot harder. I also wanted to try some new Flying Dutchman blades I got to see if I like them. They are spiral blades number 1 and I like them a lot.
  13. I did this one today.
  14. You probably hit the nail on the head there Kevin. I have a Ryobi scroll saw that is 25 to 30 years old.
  15. Seemed very nice when I talked to him on the phone.
  16. Thanks Don. I hope to get them Monday.
  17. What are some of the best blades? I have some Pagas blades from Woodcraft and they seem to break easy. I also bought some Oleson blades and they seemed to be better. I bought some Flying Dutchman blades from Mike and am hoping they are good blades, havent got them yet.
  18. Very nice, congrats.
  19. Looks good Kevin. I had to go on two diets, I couldn't get enough to eat on one. LOL

  23. I finally did my very first scroll saw project. I changed the pattern a little. I learned a lot and would do things a little different next time. This is my first one.
  24. Sorry if this gets asked a lot. I did a search and I didn't find what I was looking for. I need help posting pictures. Also how do I upload pictures into my gallery? Thanks.
