  1. I agree 100%. Very well done Mike.
  2. Welcome Elexey from the Great White North.
  3. I prefer the inlaid correction Dave. Well done, beautiful plaque.
  4. Congrats on the order Matt. Well done. Like the say, NEXT ... NEXT ... NEXT ... Etc.
  5. I use Purple Heart (¼") thickness mainly for inlayiing and marquetry work. As to what to cut I would give thought. You'll know when the right subject comes to mind. I've attached a couple examples as ideas.
  6. Nicely cut of a very fine patern Peter.

    Very nicely done Rob.
  8. Check your blade tension. Pull the back of blade and let go when adjusting. You should hear a pinging noise indicating enough tension. As for blade size it all depends thickness and hardness of wood being cut. Guide your wood through and let the blade do the cutting. Sometimes blade clamping may be an issue. Other times quality of blade may be an issue. Two good quality brands of blades are the Flying Dutchman and Olson. Myself I've only used the Olson brand.
  9. Like very much Todd. Well done.

  11. Nicely done Charlie.
  12. When I got addicted to scrolling I started out with a low budget 16" scrollsaw which satisfied my needs for the first year ($200.00). Then upgraded to a 20" ($700.00) which satisfied my needs for the next three years. Then one day I saw my dream saw. A 30" Ex with stand on clearance for $1200.00. Purchased on the spot knowing Seyco's service and product quality and being it was Canidian made. That was 16 years ago. Never looked back and have never had any regrets. So what I'm saying is take your time before making the second part of your decision and that is size that will satisfy your addiction now and in future. You may save a few $$.
  13. Very beautiful Steve. Different process but very effective and well done.
  14. Totally awesome intarsia Dick and congrats on the pattern. Very beautiful.
  15. Beautiful cross Dick and nicely cut.
  16. I use foam being I like the backing to be as rich and dark as possible and cut to size of frame glass. If need be I'll tack glue a couple spots on back of portrait to adhere backing in place. If I need to replace the backing at a later date I then have no issues.
  17. Welcome back Thomas. Awesome and very beautiful signs.
