  1. Awesome Dick. Love the inlaid work of Elvis and beautiful finish.
  2. Well done Dave on your first pattern and cutting.
  3. when it comes to micro drill bits Berry I've been using the SE-Drill set-twist #61-80 20 pc. They come in a metal box for $5.44 ea from Amazon.com. These drill bits I use in my Dremels in the Dremel workstation, flex shaft, plunge router attachment and jewellers push hand drill. I usually purchase 10 sets at a time making sure I always have them available. Wouldn't do without when doing fret work. You'll notice other drill sets available when searching.
  4. Very effective Steve and well done.
  5. I have a Delta 1" belt, 5" disc sander I had purchased several years ago for $60.00. For my purpose it's been great, highly rated and still available at a higher price of course. Love the footprint. For larger items I clamp my belt sander to the workbench. I also use my drill press as a drum sander. Being my work shop is only 12 x 8 space is limited to size of equipment I can use. So each person has to consider purpose, budget and space available. Good luck with your final decision Josh.
  6. Congrats Dick on the sale and added sales. Very nice work.
  7. Both are excellent Clyde. If I was to choose one it would be the first one because at a glance I can see what's being conveyed.
  8. I've always fed the blade from the top. I started out with the Craftsman 16" (pin blade), Craftsman 20" (plain blade), and Ex30" (plain blade). Feeding from top just feels natural and fast, like walking. There's no right or wrong. Try both on what ever saw and go with the one that feels natural and comfortable for you.
  9. Excellent Paul. I agree the stench cutting a horn is very pleasant.
  10. Terrific and very effective Dick. Love the wood grain and color of Alder.
  11. Fabulous cutting Joshua of a beautiful pattern.
  12. You' ve done a fabulous job cutting Paul and my preference would be a frame. If no frame than I would router an edge. Prior to cutting of course. Now show me the tears ... Lol
  13. Congrats ... You both need a handshake. 'Happy Aniversary'
  14. Fine cutting Rob.
  15. My preference Berry when doing portraits is â…›" Baltic Birch with a black background attached. I also prefer them framed. This is my liking. Everyone has their own preference for a background. Go with the one to your liking and gut feeling. You will never be wrong.
  16. Excellent and very beautiful Randy. I like the inlay work.

Like the pattern Rob. Well done.
  18. Welcome Yann. I have a cousin in Norway with the same name. I'm sure you'll enjoy the village as much as I have.
  19. Beautiful wedding gift Rob. Excellent cutting. Really like color and the richness of Rimu wood.
  20. Simple, different and yet a very effective looking cross DW. Like the woods chosen. Well done.
  21. Awesome cutting Randy. Very beautiful.
  22. Yes this is an awesome patern Paul and I agree with others you've done a fabulous job cutting. I'm the opposite when cutting portraits. I only use flat blades. Probably because I feel spirals are a special purpose blade. Everyone has their own comfort zone and I difinitely have mine ... Lol
  23. Excellent cutting on both the wooden Nichols and racer Al.
  24. Awesome Dan. Really like the Walnut and Ash combo along with the beautiful finish.
  25. Looking great Steve.
