  14. Thanks everyone for your kind words. The scales were made using tools made from brass tubing. We used 7/32†& 3/16†tubing and then the tubes were cut and glued in a piece of wood dowel. When the glue dried we sanded the tips at approx. 20-30 degrees. This allowed us to use a hammer and get the half round shape of the scales. When doing this it’s always better to practice on a piece of scrap to get the feel and know how hard to hit it. Homer & Carol
  15. We just got The Fishing Hole done. Its 17†X 22†and has 87 pieces. We used only 5 different woods, WRC for the river bottom, Blue Pine for the water, Black Oak for the stump, Yellowheart for the belly of the frog. All the different shades of Poplar make up the rest. We added carving and depth to the project with the pectoral fin of the larger fish raised ¾â€. Homer & Carol

    Bishop CLAMP

Thanks for the kind words about the clamp. We have used it now for about 4 years to do our patterns. Homer & Carol www.theartfactory.com http://www.hawkwoodworkingtools.com/WebsitePages/The-Bishop-Clamp.html
  17. We have been using our Bishop CLAMP for many years now while doing the articles for the magazines. We were told by many of you that you would buy a unit long before you would make one. We are happy to announce that BUSHTON MANUFACTURING is now offering the Bishop CLAMP to the scrolling community. The pictures show the Bishop CLAMP and how it can be used. The Bishop CLAMP was designed to hold irregular shaped projects while checking for fit or while being glued. It works equally well on small or large projects and square to odd shaped projects.
