  1. Really looks nice.
  2. Well Dan. I'm sure it will not be the same date.... I think Canada had a Thanksgiving, last month. In the "old world" country, it was probably last century! We are "new guys". Kidding, I know what you mean and it would be interesting.
  3. I use 3 in 1 because it is what I have. I will worry about all this maintenance in 15 - 20 years.... Oooopss. I won't probably be scrolling then,,, I probably will not be around!,,, Will my daughter can worry about it.
  4. My creative juices solidified sometime ago....
  5. Frank, you did an outstanding job of that. I love the red hilites, really ats to the emotion of the picture.
  6. That turned out beautiful. Yes she is going to be a happy granddaughter, the best kind.
  7. Welcome to the greatest place for scrollers. Hope you enjoy your stay. Nice looking items you are showing.
  8. That is a beautiful piece. Is inlay , Marquetry?
  9. Not "aged",,, "Seasoned". By the way, you can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner....!
  10. You really did a great job on that. I printed the pattern, put it in the stack,,, I want to cut it for my Nephew to hang in his garage. Hope I can get it to looks somewhat as good as you did.
  11. Lots of very nice work.
  12. Loving that one Doc. Thanks for starting this, Travis. I think it had great participation, and I really enjoyed watching what people came up with. Hope all had a fun Halloween. We had the usual "ghost" Trick or Treaters, you don't even see them.. I live out in the country and the two kids on our road that use to come are all grown up now so we get none. But I still really enjoy all the candy we by,, just in case...
  13. Nice cutting.
  14. That is a lot of work. Nice!
  15. Yep.... Right, Dick? I sure miss him...
  16. I find Inkscape and Gimp both very intimidating. And now that I have a Mac.. It is a little different. But lots of people have it figured out and do very good with both. I get bored trying to learn either very quickly. Heppnerguy tried to show me once. 352 steps later he says "see how easy that is". I was laying on the floor with my eyes rolled back in my head. Then he moved!.. I mean like left the state and went to Arizona..
  17. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/articles/pattern-making/inkscape/ Good luck.
  18. Congratulations on your purchase. I think you may be the first owner of that brand on this forum. I'm anxious toread what you think of it after some use.
  19. Another beautiful inlay.
  20. Beautiful pieces!
  21. WOW that really look nice. Please don't say butchered in front of a pig!
  22. Thanks Travis (TDpainter) for the fine pattern. Not sure I did it justice, but I tried. It was really fun to cut, did not take long. I tried my hand at painting the backer where the flames are... doesn't show up as much as I hoped. I may do in again with lighter wood next time. Thanks again Travis.

    Goku

That is some very nice scrolling. I do not know all these new characters, but I bet my 6 year old Grandson could enlighten me very quickly...!
  24. Those certainly should sell. Maybe put bright bow around the necks of the reindeer, just to make them look a little more festive.
  25. I did a little once. I sandwiched it thing plywood. I just used a blade I had at the time. I'm sure there are blades that would do better. Maybe Hotshot will know he cuts metal often.
