  5. Want to thank Russell one more time for his wonderful gift of pattern making. Cut this one with FD R Spiral 2/0, was cut out of HD 1/4 harwood ply the backer is the same. Used rattle can of Hunter Green on the backer. The frame is made out of ruff sawed cedar and leaving it bare for a rustic look.
  6. Thank you Russell for another supr fine pattern. Did both of Pats Floral & design cuttings for the boy that cuts my grass. He gave them to his granmother who has them displayed in her shop. Did them free of charge, but have already recieved a few calls about doing some for $$$$. So not bad Used HD cheap hardwood ply and FD R spiral 2/0 blades.

  10. I want to thank Russell aka birchbark for posting this pattern as a challange. Russell said that it was for the pros and not for the beginers. So with that being said I had to give a shot. It was pretty tricky to figure out how go about cutting it. I just started ss back this past Jan. so I had a little saw time behind me but not much. I used HD cheap hardwood ply. and used FD R Spiral 2/0 blade.
  11. Pretty cool looking peice, nice cutting. Happy Sawing, John
  12. Ed welcome to our little family of saw dust junkies. I started ss back in Jan. with a 16" Ridgid ss. Since then I found a 20" DeWalt 788 on craigs list for $175. a diffrance of night and day. Most of the guys and gals that live around me it is the saw of choice. Not to mention about half the price of the Excalibur. I like using FD R Spiral blades # 1 and 2/0 mostly. If no one hasn't told you yet that we like pictures almost as much as saw dust, we do. Happy Sawing, John
