  1. It took about 2 more months to do the other 50%. It was then donated as a fund raiser for the Arizona Lions cubs handicapped camp as most of you know that is what I do over 95% of my scrolling for. This past April I hit the $50,000.00 mark I have been able to get as donations. John Old Dust

  8. As some of you know, over 95% of my scroll saw art work is as a fund raiser for the Arizona Lions Clubs Handicapped Camp. (http://www.arizonalionscamp.org/) I just hit $50,000.00 that I have generated in donations over the past 15 years I have been doing this. The camp provides a free week of camping experience for any Arizona Handicapped. A few months after the season I receive some photos of those I have been able to help. Makes it all worth while. 14. I recently made a chess set for a customer who wanted a Western theme. I made a cowboy for a king and a cowgirl for queen.chess pieces? Saguaro cactus were the pawns and a Kokopelli the Bishop, etc, I charged $5 per piece since there were so many. It takes me about an hour to do 3 or 4, depending on the pattern. He now has a one of a kind chess set. He painted one team green for forest and the other team tan for desert. What do you charge for Chess pieces? John Old Dust

  18. This is 24" X 24" special order. Lucky I have a 21" EX. When I had to cut an oversize board on a DeWalt or other smaller size cutting table I often had to reverse the blade and cut backward, The red and black backing is colored poster board. John Old Dust
  19. Yes there are a number of floaters. Some as small as 1/16". That is why I had to install a "0" clearance card. I also used a #2/0 blade. John Old Dust
  20. This is a special order from a friend. The cutting is only 5" X 5". I had to tape a "0" clearance card on the saw table in order to catch some of the tiny pieces. John Old Dust
  21. Yes there are2 images. One side a swan the other a Ballet dancer. John Old Dust
  22. I do a lot of compound cuttings as part of my fund raising for the handicapped camp. The scrap pieces off of the cutting I trim and give them to a Head Start or other pre school class who color them and paste on a card for their parents. The kids love them and so do the teachers who talk a little about them. I get $7 each or 3 for $20. Most only take 15 to 30 minutes to cut. The Pix shows the finished compound cut in middle. The before and after trimming of scraps. The Kokopellie is from another compound cutting. John Old Dust
  23. If you are sawing straight cuts for a box I would think a band saw would be better. John Old Dust
