  12. This is a pattern by Jeff Zaffino. I think there are about 300 cuts and about 100 of them are scarry. I got a blue ribbon and Best of Class for this at our county fair. The frame was made by my son out of old barn wood and my wife added the feather accent. John Old Dust
  13. I realy don't expect any "major" problems since the cutting is glued fully. John Old Dust
  14. This is a variation of a pattern by BJ Holm in the June 2006 issue of CW&C. I also did some of my usual pencile torch scorching. John Old Dust
  15. This is from an old 2005 issue of cwc. The backer is made by using a 1/4" washer to trace the outer edge. I also used my pencil torch for highlighting. John Old Dust
  16. Call Seyco at 1-800-462-3353 and they will help. John Old Dust
  17. The original pattern had a wingspan of 25". I did not want that big a cut nor did I have wood that size. I just took a photo of the pattern and reduced it to frame size. John Old Dust
  18. This is a pattern by Steve Good. Sorry for the slightly out of focus. John Old Dust
  19. He takes it in his hand, looks it over and replies,"I think it is a small milk stool." I answer, "You are half right. Keep thinking." Friend finally says, "I give up. What is it?" My answer, "Since it is in a container it is a --------- --------- stool sample." Easy to make and have a lot of fun with. John Old Dust
  20. Sorry about the out of focus but I am a scroller not a photographer. I used the eagle from "128 Compound scrollsaw patterns" by Sam Keener and the Wounded Warrior logo off the web. The trick is to have both patterns the exact same height. I put them both in my Publishing program and resized so each pattern is 1 1/2" wide to use on 2X2 wood which is actually 1 1/2". You could use any eagle silhouette that is taller than wide. John Old Dust
  21. Sorry for the out of focus but you get the idea. Jhn Old Dust OOPS "Warrior" WW compound 1.pdf WW compound 2.pdf
  22. Here are 2 versions of an ARPOP pattern. The left opne I also did some pincle torching. John Old Dust
  23. I regularly use a pencil tourch to scourch the fuzzies off the back of cuttings then use sandpaper to remove the scourched fuzzies. However I have also found that by tourching the front of cuttings it will often add charicture to the art. Here is a work showing the difference between a no tourch cut on the right and a lightly tourched cutting mounted on a slab. John olddust1 torch KOKO.pdf
  24. My "confuser" crashed and I lost all my contacts, user names and passwords. This ol' fogy mind could not remember them all so had to re-register. Glad to be back. John Old Dust (?)
