  1. Need help to make pattern for long term family doctors family who doctored us for close to 40 years and died last week.I tried but need professional help to make for his daughter.Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Thanks for trying maybe I'll have to find a different photo
  3. I tried using rapid resizer but not good enough to cut.Im trying to make a photo plaque for my sister's 50th anniversary so I have to ask the professionals if someone could make a pattern from either picture. Thanks so much if it can be done.
  4. The pattern was a little bit delicate as I didnt want and thing breaking so I used a spiral blade and with a overhead light and magnifying glass I was able to cut detail with precise cuts. This would not be a try for a beginner as spiral blades wonder.Antler bone has a smell of its own nothing like wood.If anybody has a chance to cut some antlers give it a go its a good experience.
  5. Brotherinlaw got a small moose last year and asked me what could be done with the spade. So I came up with a idea to put a moose on each side and give it a board on back to mount.Havent given it to him yet but Im sure he will like what it has become.
  6. Im still trying to wrap my head that this even happened and trying to get it set on wood to even cut is a big deal.I might just have to set it aside till after the funeral then try again.I made a plaque for her daughter 10 years ago for suicide that was tough but a friends wife brings shivers up my spine.Well it just goes to say enjoy today cause tomorow who knows whos next live for today
  7. Thanks for your kind words and help. This will be the toughest pattern to cut not in the skill level but the memories will try to sidetrack my concentration on my saw. Will be even harder to give it to my friend
  8. 11. Thanks for all your coments. The saws are 5x18".They will look much better when finished with painted black backround. The patterns are from the Wooden Teddy bear and fairly easy to cut using a spiral blade and flat for handle and outside saw.I started my xmas. work now as we cant go anywhere and im hoping this covid crap is over by then so i can deliver.Stay safe everybody Its scary outthere

  15. This was a project I made back in May for my grandson. Was a challenging project using almost every tool in my garage.Lots of pieces and lots of sanding.Project turned out well for his birthday and is still keeping him busy and will be a good keepsake for him and his kids down the road.
  16. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to all fellow scrollers in this village and hopefully a better year in 2021
  17. Been away for awhile back in the scrollsaw seat again.Done here are a couple of Steve Good patterns to give away to family. There were multiples made to 8 or 10 of the xmas scene and 4 of the hockey.I added sparkles to bring out features.Feels good to have a saw blade in my hand again.
  18. I have been doing portraits for about 8 years now and the only advise I can give you is practise on scraps with spirals before the final cutting if you have never used them.I use both straight and spiral for a portrait.Straight for long runs as spirals wonder so its hard to get a straight line and I use spirals on corners and close cuts around eyes etc where tight cuts are needed. The whole portrait takes alot of patience so make sure your comfortable with either blade before you begin or you might have a breakout and lead you in discouragment on doing others.
  19. Good thing my wife doesnt see all your work or I would be making everything you show.Super job man
