  1. Great job people will love them.I made a few crosses a few years back and I will give you a tip try putting a round base for people to set on a shelf on a couple.People like different varieties.Just a idea for ya.
  2. Very good job
  3. Wow once you have a black backround with a nice frame that scene will be tops.
  4. Back in the scrollsaw seat again cutting some dog portraits for a friend. Thanks to Multitom for lending me a hand letting me use his golden retriever pattern.Very well done pattern so all I had to do was make one pattern of the bulldog.Im sure my friend will enjoy the portraits for years to come.

    DeWalt DW788

I had my first Dewalt scrollsaw for 13 years. Was a very dependable saw cutting every thickness. Then finally the motor went and checked ito fixing it and found out motor is three quarters of the price of new one so decided to buy a new one same as the other dewalt and this one has been good other than replacing the chuck holder for the blades. All in all the saw is great for the price.
  6. Thanks for the replies I thought the same but better to hear it from a fellow scroller who used it.Better in my pocket than theirs at scrollnado
  7. I'll have to correct my reply on the book, there is one review on this product, the editor of the book but that's all. If it was from one in this village commenting I might be more convinced.
  8. I picked up a book called scrollsaw woodworking and crafts to see the scrollnado in the book. The book describes what it might do for dust collection but fails to give any proof or reviews from anybody who have used it.I am no farther ahead right now trying to decide if this product stands up and does the job as 50 plus shipping plus exchange is not a cup of coffee. No money can be placed for losing your lungs but I like a sure thing too. Maybe some of you can agree with me.I was trying to find the company address to email the company to see if even the president of this village could try it free to advertize for this club but no address just amazon to buy. Who would you talk to if pieces were broke. Makes me skeptical. Damian
  9. Thanks Denny Ill find one
  10. What month magazine Denny

  12. I watched a video and am a little concerned at trying to feed a blade through a tube at the bottom all the time, seems like a real inconvenience maybe some have used it and will give their input and your right scrappile shop vacs arent supposed to run at 80-90 percent running time, could be a problem there.
  13. Has anybody bought and used the new dust collection system for the Dewalt 788 scrollsaw called Scrollnado. Seen it used on Steves site at Scrollsaw workshop and wondering if it does the job or is it a waste of 49.99. Thanks Damian
  14. Hi I posted his site a few months ago for all you US people to buy. You save by buying from there as opposed to buying from comanies in the US as your dollar is better than Canada so you save. I have used his blades since I took a intartia class from him about 15 or 20 years ago and these blades are exellent. This comment is not made to make commission on his business. I am commenting to tell you you save here. Your throwing money to the wind buying elseware and you won't be dissapointed.
  15. Thanks Mr Worbler Ill give that a shot with the first and put the two of them together. Way better than mine. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks very much for your time.
  16. Thanks for trying Ill try to get something out of the first one but quite a long shot to make it into anything. Ill see what I can do or get another picture which is more clear. My two tries wernt any better either.I think Im fighting a losing battle.
  17. I have a picture given to me to try and make a portrait in wood. I have tried 2 different programs to try and make a pattern with no success. This is a really old picture I realize and am trying my darnest to help a friend out but almost ready to tell her no but I thought I had better ask the professionals at it if it can be done as you all do more than me. Any suggestions or if you can make me one that would be great as its her 65th birthday Im trying to make apattern to make. Thanks
  18. Well your all thinking what I was. I chose the square one too but having you all agree with my thoughts make it easy to choose. The round one will not go to waste I will take the pictures out cut the dates off and reuse for my brothers 50th coming in a couple of years. Thanks all for your opinions Im glad your being honest , that's what I like about this site it's better than family and not scared to give people honest remarks which helps a scroller always do better. Thanks very much. Damian
  19. Need popular opinion of this from the group. My wifes sister is having a 50 yr wedding anniversay this spring so I made a plaque I should say two cause I liked both of the patterns I made. One is mine the other is from Sue Mae patterns.I think I know which one but like to see what others think. The hearts are from Sue Mae and the square one is my idea..
  20. Your welcome hope it helps
  21. Hi everyone. I checked with Garnet over at Sawbird for the prices on shipping for scrollsaw blades. The shipping charge is 4.00$ per order. Blades are shipped free if accopaning bought books or patterns.Orders are shipped to you in 5-7 business days. US costomers with the exchange are saving 20% by buying through Sawbird. The blades are Flying Dutchman. I have used these blades and have had no trouble. I am not recieving any commision for this info just trying to save you some money you people in the US.If you want to save money try Sawbird. Damian
  22. Try Sawbird up here in Canada. These blades are the same and the US dollar is better than ours so give them a try I use them all the time give Garnet a call he can answer all your questions. Damian
