  5. Good job as usual Kevin you rock , keep that saw a rockin and your family will keep a knocking so we can keep a talkin! Damian
  6. Thanks all for your remarks.Really enjoyed doing this one , Ive done stacking before but never this many at one time so it was a challenge and did not want to miscut as 4 pieces would be ruined.I used my magnifying light on my saw a few times as holes got close to the tearing out .Took my time and kept focussed locking the door to the garage so nobody could disturb.I found that cutting more than 3 is really not anymore difficult cause it takes a little longer to cut and you cant speed down the line. i set the speed at 4 on my dewalt and using #5 double tooth reverse I cut it out of one eighth baltic burch.I use green painting tape first the pattern spray glued next thenuse clear packaging tape on both sides to keep everything from moving and puts a wax coating on blade every time on up and down movements keeps blade cool also. Then I use a heat gun to get all tape off. I hope this helps some who want to try this as its not that hard and saves alot of time to have many to sell or give away. Thanks Kevin for your kind remarks
  7. Thanks Roly I like your profile pic
  8. Thanks for that I find Coyote some days difficult.I was asking Ron what he uses cause he turns them out so fast.If I find another program thats faster with less work I will go there.Maybe Im not using it right but Im getting the job done but its better than when I started I used to do them on a plastic sheet with a light in a box and trace the effects throgh on paper then cut so Im advancing as time goes on.I guess Im too hard on myself as I want less time in office and more time in shop
  9. Just finished doing 5 at same time to give to family on both sides for first birthday in Dec kinda like a x-mas and birthday all in one.Used Coyote program and enlarged using Rapid resizer to make fit in frame.I stack cutted the picture to get 4 and did one by itself cause I forgot one member till after I thought of person.Im sure they all will be pleased and a good keepsake for years to come.Just love doing portraits cause of the challenge to make it lifelike.I watch sales at Michaels to get 40% off frames one at a time
  10. Kevin for that Allen wrench I would buy one to fit and cut some length buy a little knob and use steel epoxy to glue knob to Allen and to screw then you wouldn't have to use wrench all the time. Just a suggestion you don't have to. Damian

  13. I have to say I did a couple of sales and never again. I m not saying all sales are a waste of time for some but in my experience people looked listened and walked away. Alot of promisses to come back with cash, in my opinion some people are either cheap or the just don't understand the hours spent and how low the price is set alot of time were working for almost nothing exept for the mere joy of scrolling so anybody wanting a good experience take your work to a craft sale, and this is only my opinion. Damian
  14. Hi I don't know what the fees are In the US but out in Canada are about 100 including frame. You might want to go to Kerrysworld and look at their prices. It all depends on how much time it takes you and if you feel generous to give them to relatives. You could do 3or 4 at a time on one cut using one eighth Baltic birch.that is what I do when I do portraits.Hope this helps.Damian
  15. Nice work now you know what gets peoples eye.I took a lot of bigger items once to a craft sale and a small reindeer sold instead of all the larger items. You could probably take 10more there to your friend and all would go!Well done
  16. I hope your right on that phrase, great work
  17. Wish I was there!Alot warmer than here. Nice work
  18. Pretty cool nice work
  19. Thanks everyone I am probably just going to spray clear varathane on it as even spruce looks good clear and if we decide to hang them I may have to cut the base off.
  20. Heres a project I made this summer. Our woodworking club challenged us to make something out of one two by four with no nails or dowelsonly glue and any machine used so I put my scrollsaw talent to use and these silouettes came out of it copying a picture of a women in a scrollsaw magazine making cards in wood,Was a great challenge. We were supposed to exchange but I said my wife wants them. They stand about thirty inches high by seven wide done with a spiral blade. The board was cut in half glued together side by side in 3 segements sanded then scrolled from a picture using rapid resizer and sanded again then base attached.Took me about 6-8 hours from start to finish
  21. Great job. Sorry for the loss he would have been proud.Keep up the good work

  23. Very nice work on the portrait.Your learning pretty fast for not doing many. They are hard to do,as I have done a few and there are no flaws. When your relatives see this you better tell them to take a number, cause everybody will want one. Bravo
