  1. You did an awesome job on those!
  2. Very cool! I'm from Louisiana, I have cousins that live in Houma
  3. Very nice!
  4. Third on the blade changes. So ready to change to a plain-end blade saw. Any advice on best brand? I was thinking DeWalt at first, but I dunno. I currently have a Harbor Freight. I like spiral blades, makes cutting puzzle pieces easy and I don't get lost trying to put it back together. I'm really really bad at putting them back together. I really love the deer! It's very nice.
  5. What is MDF? Inquiring minds want to know...
  6. On pieces that I'm afraid of oozing from wood glue, like on really thin puzzle trays, I use a hot glue gun. It dries fast and clear and I can sand any ooze off and it's not real obvious.
  7. Thanks everyone! The piece in the middle with the jigsaw around it was my mom's idea, and I think it worked out well.
  8. Thanks! Now I'm grinning ear to ear
  9. How much would you charge for one of the God coffee cups? I think my mother would love that. You can message me if you want.
  10. Hey there everyone! Here's some pics of my latest completed project. Made them for a friend's grandson, and she said he saw the pic I sent her and he loved them. Always proud to hear someone likes my work! First is the Batman puzzle and the tray. Took the pic from one of the covers online, can't remember the artist but it's on the bottom of the puzzle in case the kid ever wants to look the artist up. I made a tray for it, because it's a fairly young child and his granny wanted somewhere for all the pieces to go when he's done. Painted the bat symbol on it with water based acrylic. Next was the Spiderman. Lather rinse repeat. This is only my second experience with photo puzzles, and I think they came out pretty good.
  11. That's lovely, very nice!
  12. Looks awesome! You did a great job, thanks for sharing!
  13. Beautiful work, as always! I love seeing what you turn out every day.
  14. All very nice cuts! Enjoyed checking out your photos.
  15. Awesome work as always! I know what you mean about constantly needing out of the chair, snack, drink, show something to my mom, etc. Too easily distracted, guess that's why a real job will never work for me, haha! I used to just drop the wood on the porch then my dad found a big box for my scraps but it's getting full, I need to find small patterns for all my scrap wood I don't have the heart to throw away. Or, maybe feed the fire pit.
  16. Awesome work! The one with the doggie is my favorite, might have to make one for myself with a Lily on it.
  17. Amazing work Kevin! One day I will use my spiral blades to actually do cutout or intarsia work lol.
  18. Very nice idea! Your customer is going to love them.
  19. Hi Gordie! I'm also new to this forum but unlike you I'm also new to scrolling. Looking forward to seeing your work!
  20. Very good work!
  21. Very nicely done! I also think you could sell lots of those.
  22. I used the same, water based acrylic and I have some Alene's spray sealer (which is basically laquer) that I used to finish it.
  23. Hello all! Finally done with the elephant puzzle, and I think it came out alright. Putting the circus tent behind was my hubby's idea, and we think it came out good. What do yall think?
  24. Very nice, I like them!
