I have both the 18"&22" hegners and I've used them both on fine 1/8 " ply. Up to 1 1/2 " oak fret working everything from Xmas ornaments to fancy boxes and shelves I have been very happy with both saws . Is it possible that your adjustments are off a little ?

Lorenzo, I turned first then scrolled the design. I used box elder wood - first time I had used that. Thank you all for the kind comments.

You are doing good. My best advice is to start in the center and cut to the left and have fun!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Actually, the bottom of the box is the pic with the little fish. I used those for feet. My daughter was helping me post and we forgot to explain.

I bought a adjustable stool from Sears in the tool area it works good for me . If my back starts to get stiff I go up or down a little really seems to help.

What blades, what brand, where to buy?

I only use Flying Dutchman blades I've tried many others but I always return to them and mainly the 5 reverse tooth blades they have never let me down. -
Just found out about the village .Its good to know there are still scrollers out there .
