I do wear magnifying loupes every time I cut. I got used towearing them while in dental practice for 34 years. They make all the difference in the world.
I cut this piece to donate to my favorite local charity, The Farmer's House. I don't know what I was thinking when I started this...LOTS of cuts to create the fur. But, in the end, I think it was worth it.
Sorry for the late reply. I do not use tape. I just apply patterns with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. To remove the patterns I coat them with alcohol, and they peel right off easily.
I'm dedicating my latest scroll saw wood-art piece to a great man whom I admire so much. Steve Good passed away on Monday, and everyone who knows anything about scroll saw art knows that he was one of the greatest pattern designers ever. I will surely miss him. God bless you, Steve. I know that you are soaring with our Creator.
I haven't posted any scroll saw wood-art for a while, mostly because I've been making pieces requested by friends. But today I finished cutting this one to get a head start on our nation's 250th birthday.
