  3. Len this make me 10m total. 7 Girls 3 Boys ages 12 down.
  4. Some of you might remember that I announced the pending birth of my first Biological Grandchild scheduled for January 7th 2016. Well he got tired of doing time on the inside so on December 10th at 3:30 AM. he decided to organize a jail break. So at a whopping 4lb 4oz Braden Alexander Seagraves decided he would begin his plot to take over the world. Well at least his Mom and Dad's world. I have seen some proud papa's but I think my son has the worst case of it I ever saw. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet. I have been trying to fight off a case of Pneumonia for the last 2 weeks and had already scheduled off work for his planed birth. I guess this means that I have really got to get the Cradle build in gear so it will be ready when it gets home.

  17. Love it. The Cherry really sets this off. Is the pattern going to be available?
  18. Very nice looking train set. Maybe too much time but will be worth it when you see the smiles on their faces.
  19. From the looks of the pictures these were made from 2 different pieces of wood then glued together. That is one of the best things that could be done as the opposing wood grains will help stabilize each other and stop the warping process. I agree on the finish enamel etc. usually wont hold up to the heat of everyday use. If a very glossy look is desired a Cyprus rosin finish would be my choice. You might also want to try Olive oil as a finish. Food grade and will actually take a lot of heat. Also make a great finish for wooden bowls that are going to be used for food contact.
  20. Hey Dick I think he means with a tool not the heater.
  21. Very nice job. I am looking forward to the day i can take the clock out of the shop and shoot it with the shotgun.
  22. As usual a great looking piece.
  23. Great job on the cut and pattern.
  24. Your question has been well answered but I am going to throw in my 2 cents. I always tell my wife that 70% of any job is having the right tool. Your blade is a tool. As others have said spirals are great for picture type cuttings. They do require being kept very tight and lots of practice. I am not sure what brand blade that you got but stick wit the good brand Olsen, Flying Dutchman. ECT on all blades. I have always had the worst problem in a cut that I had to back out of. My advice is slow your saw down and practice for a while. Depending on what type work you do you may just find that the spiral may become your best friend.
  25. Nice job. I really like the way that you framed them. Welcome to the nut house.
