Hi Bob, Thank you for the comments mate. The camera I use is an old Sony Nex5 with a 18 - 55 lens. Tough little point and shoot camera that you can change lenses. I don't think they are available new anymore. Here is a e-Bay link to what I have. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/382972060069

Maybe the new Hegner will have its own dust extractor fitted. I find it works great.

Hi Dick, I wish it was my imagination. I recently come across a piece of work by Fiona Kingdon of a fish jumping out of a knotted area and thought that is amazing, next thing I know I am destroying a piece of wood. Hi Paul, You are correct, the line should be in front too. That would make a great transition from a slither of wood to a cut. All the best, Paul

Great pattern from Steve good. I planed the Oak down to 12mm. I used Olsen 2/0 and No5 blades. The Danish oil from rustins gives a fantastic warm colour to the Oak. Part 2 coming soon.

Hi All, This is a pattern by Grampa Wood is Cedar of Lebanon. I planed it down to 6mm. The smell from this wood is amazing. I used a Olsen 2/0 blade for the pattern changing to a No5 for the fishing line. It is a great pattern but I managed to mess it up.

You must of taking the lid of the glue to get that amount of glue spillage. Take care and all the best.

Hi All, As you all know Alex produces amazing patterns. I got the compass pattern and requested different letters on the compass points. I follow a sailing channel on youtube and the guy's motto is. Hi Smudger. Thanks for the comment. I bought the lights a long time ago and cannot remember where from, here is a link to the same lights. I have them in 20 lights to the string. Big thanks to Bob & Paul. @grampa @bobscroll for the pattern and text. I used a 2/0 Olsen blade for the pattern and used a No 5 for the 35 deg bevel.
