  16. Hi everyone, I wanted to share a small project with fellow scrollsaw and woodworking folks. I’ve written a cozy mystery series centered around a makerspace and the people who use it. Scrollsaw work, intarsia, and the quiet rhythm of the shop play a real role in the books. The craft isn’t background flavor — it shapes how the characters think, observe, and solve problems. This grew out of a genuine love of woodworking and maker communities, and an interest in showing those spaces with accuracy and respect. If you enjoy woodworking-adjacent fiction, or are simply curious to see our craft reflected on the page, I thought it might be of interest here. Happy new year, my friends Monti https://a.co/d/7BqvgzD

  25. My labor of love. From a children’s book. With permission of the illustrator to make one item and not sell it. I started on November 22nd and put the first oil on December 28 . The center panel behind the window frame is decoupage from the original illustration our esteemed colleagues in The intarsia forum suggested I post in bragging as well. Apologies for double posting.
