  2. Heres the result of the novelty bird house I have made after getting the book with this and some other great plans I intend to do.
  3. got roundto having another go on the scroll saw and this is the result. There is ment to be another one to the left but I messed him up
  4. Thanks guys I've opted to try some flat end blades as like you have said they are smaller and better for fret work and designs that you need to drill to get the blade into. I have just ordered some Pegas Skip Tooth Scroll Saw Blade in sizes 3 and 5 and will give them a go.
  5. My scroll saw came with pin ended blades but also has adapters to use flat ended blades. What are peoples blades of choice? Having had a look online am I right in thinking there are far more diff flat end blades them pined? What blades size would you use for cutting puzzles, fret work? Do you rate the blades with all round teeth that you don>t need to turn your work when cutting? Thanks in advance for your help Pete

  7. well I got sorted so that I could try out my scroll saw at last. I think maybe I should of started with an easier pattern for a first go but never mind. I've not cleaned it up before taking this pic. I used the blade that was in the machine when I unpacked it. I think maybe I should of used a finer one for the turns, but I am happy with it considering

  18. Hi all I'm Pete and from the UK, I'm just getting into scroll saw woodworking, but don't get the scroll saw for another two weeks. I've been online looking for templates etc and found this site Some great work on here and in time I hope mine will come up to scratch with some, I will post pics once I start making some. I love making things and these include - 8foot by 6 foot shed - the only plans I had were in my head (scary I know lol), a 10 foot by 8 foot potting shed - again no plans and a number of planters to name but a few. Other hobbies - Fishing, Growing my own fruit/veg. Pete
