    Hi Barb. I wanted to see if something between #3 and #5 would work. I use #3 for a tight fit and #5 for a looser fit.

    Longhorn Puzzle. First a short story. Here in East Tennessee, there are many cattle farms, but no Longhorns. On the way to church, there is a farm with Longhorns. They are magnificent animals. What a joy. The pattern is by Harvey Blyer. I used 3/4" Poplar 6" x 10". Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #3 MGT Blades. Next time I might use a Pegas #4 Super Skip Blade. After a light sanding with a Mac Mop, dipped in diluted Shellac, and another light sanding. Comments welcome.

    Polar Bear Puzzle. Designed by Harvey Blyer. I used 1/2" Basswood 4" x 7". Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #3 MGT Blades. After a light sanding, dipped in diluted Shellac, and another light sanding. Comments welcome.

    Penguin Chick Puzzles designed by Judy and Dave Peterson. Found in SWWC issue #50. Cut from 1/2' basswood 4" x 6" each. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #3 MGT blades. The black parts are stained with Saman stain. After sanding with a Mac Mop, dipped in diluted Shellac, and another light sanding. Comments welcome.

    I cut 1 1/2"Ash for my Miniature Birdhouse Ornaments. I use Pegas #6 Super Skip with no problems. If you would like to try, let me know.

    I too, use both. Each has its own purpose. Like Paul said, just another tool. I even use several different flat blades.

    Wedding Rings pattern designer unknown. I used 1/2" solid Hard Maple. The object is 6" high x 6 1/2" wide. Cut on the Pegas scroll saw using Pegas #1 and #3 MGT blades. The #1 for the letters and numbers. After sanding, one coat spray Shellac and two coats spray Lacquer Clear Satin. Comments welcome.
