  10. Thanks Dick. Take my word for it mate... the satisfaction in completing a decent piece is something but when it is a pattern that you have done yourself it is even better. Make it your goal mate because it is awesome! Oh and good luck - don't forget to show your patterns here though! Tony
  11. Thanks for your lovely comments Melanie. Here's hoping that it doesn't give out on me again! Tony

  16. Yup that's right Paul, all by hand with an old style fret saw. Don't even have a scroll saw... keeps the electricity bill down you see... Thanks for your comments. Tony
  17. Actually its not. This was a free pattern from 'scrollbench'. It's one of Steve Good's collapsible baskets that I want to try. He has a lovely one with humming birds on it and I think that is soon going to be attempted. Tony
  18. Thanks Steve Tony
  19. Thanks Melanie! Tony
  20. Some beautiful fret work there Jerry. Well done I can understand how gluing up something like that would be a pain in the back-side but you aced it with that jig. Awesome idea. Tony
  21. I recon it sets it of just nicely. Lovely effect Tony
  22. Too right Roly. Am already planning on getting the right angle to make a bowl! Tony
  23. Hey all. Ever since I first found the Village I have been intrigued with the concept of baskets and bowls. I have always said that one day I would try one for myself and I finally got down to doing a basket. Albeit my better half is very happy with the result... "Ah... Finally... Something I can use that is also decorative." Made from 1/4 inch beech the total diameter is 9 inches. As usual it was done with my trusty old fret saw. Maybe someday soon I'll manage a bowl. Cheers Tony
