  10. Guys thanks for all your great comments. It is really encouraging to read your comments and will continue to post as I create more things. Cheers guys! Tony
  11. Thanks Russell, well it took maybe an hour and 15 minutes to cut out the dreamcatcher but the real problem was the feathers. Being so small and fiddly, I did wreck a couple before I got the desired result. Each feather took over 30 minutes each to cut. Tony
  12. Scroll work is not in such a high demand over here but I do get a couple of orders here and there. Only been at this a few months now so I am still trying to put my feelers out and introduce more if I can.
  13. Hey Randy, sorry can't really help regarding brand names. I bought my fret saw from a small corner hardware store. Alas in Malta it is not so easy to find things as in the States. I love using my fret saw but as you said it is a strain on the arm. Tony
  14. Good evening Good People Just got these two dreamcatchers cut. As is usual for me they are both my patterns, along with the feathers and all, and everything was cut using a fret saw and not a scroll saw. I will also post the pattern for them so if anyone would like to try to make a couple please go ahead. Cheers Tony
  15. Very nice indeed! Well done!
  16. Thanks guys! Will give them a try!
  17. Hi Guys I am still pretty much a newbie here and to fret work but would like to ask a question. I really enjoy cutting portraits and would love to make my own patterns to cut of famous people. Does anyone know of a decent public domain site which has famous people in their categories? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and take care. Tony.
  18. Thanks Kevin! Have seen a couple of clips of coin cuttings and would love to give it a try sometime but at the moment I think I will stick to the wood! Thanks for the encouragement. Take care mate! Tony
  19. Hey guys. Thanks for the great welcome ands all your lovely comments! Will post more pics when I cut some more! Thanks again and take care all! Tony!
  20. Ha Ha! Good one Scrappile! Dad wasn't so bad looking! Can see this is a fun place! All the best. Tony
  21. Hi to all from Malta. Just wanted to say what a great site this is and am looking forward to exploring and reading the articles and posts here. Alas I do not have a scroll saw as of yet but do my work with an old style fret saw. I only started this kind of work about three months ago and I have attached a couple pics of two portraits I have cut, which are both my patterns, for you to have a look at. Hope that you like them. Thanks and have a great day All the best Tony
