  1. Hi to all. It has been a while since I have been on but I hope all you great people are doing well. Must say I missed you guys a bunch. I have been a little busy with my old fret saw and even a couple of new ones and have attached a couple of pics for your criticism. As usual, all made using a fret saw and all patterns were created by me. The first one is 24 in by 10 in by 3/8 in thick out of solid iroko with a simple black backer. Was a bit of a bugger to cut but got there in the end. The second one is my partners' mother that I did for my partners; daughter. Was very pleased to see her nan immortalised in wood. I have a bit of a thing for the X-Men and thought about doing The Wolverine. Personally I am happy with the result. Fourth and final one I got a little ambitious while cutting this ring wraith from Lord of the Rings and was beside myself lest I break off a piece during cutting. Very fiddly to do but it came out a treat. 2nd, 3rd and 4th were all cut in 4mm maple ply. Talk to you again soon. Till then take care all! Tony

  6. Customers can be difficult at times Kevin. Seeing that I only started this kind of stuff a few months ago and there is not much demand for scrolled works in Malta, when I get an order for a portrait, I normally print out an extra full size pattern an show them that explaining that what they see on the pattern is what they get on the wood. If they like I go ahead because I am certainly not going to spend several hours hand cutting with a fret saw just for someone to say "It's not what I imagined." You are a good a patient man Kevin!
  7. Sweet. Very sweet. Tony
