Thanks Vykus. Actually yes I am going to upload the Ring Wraith and Wolverine patterns to the gallery. The others for obvious reasons being a commission and personal I'm afraid not.
Cheers
Tony
Thanks Spirithorse. The portrait pattern did take quite a bit of time but I find that the attention to detail pays dividends when coming to do the cutting. When doing a portrait, if it doesn't look like the person then I can't say it is them!
Tony
Thanks Marg. The portrait pattern was a little time consuming but came out good and to be honest my heart was in my mouth a few times when cutting the last one.

Thanks Len. Am trying to make up for lost time here! I honestly don't know about the spiral blades with a fret saw because I am having a hard time finding them here in Malta. I would love to give them a try sometime but supplies are very limited over here. There is not so much of a following for scroll work here so I basically have to make do with what I find. I normally use a size 3 or 1 blade. All these were cut with a size 3 blade.

Thanks Kevin. Yes I needed to rest my fingers a while as I had to have some stitches in my finger and was a little worried that I might tear them if I did any work. :(
Tony
Personally I think its great Dave. It is still so beyond me how you manage to do this kind of work!
Beautiful piece.
Regarding finish I prefer a semi matt to a shine but that is just personal preference.
Tony
Thanks Denny. Getting a little more ambitious in my pattern making. I find the challenge of portraits relax me so much. Obviously, the actual cutting is also very therapeutic!
Tony
Thanks Gordster. Yes she was very pleased with it. Wish I had the camera for the look on her face when she saw the portrait. Obviously huge hugs ensued!
Tony
Ha! Harry Potter! You really nailed him. Have been wanting to do a cutting of him but have not found the right picture I like yet.
Great job mate!
Tony
Awesome awesome work. I look at apiece like this and hope that one day if I try hard enough I might be able to cut something half as good as this.
BIG well done!
