  1. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Very nice work Frank thanks for sharing. I agree that the Canadian Geese are a HUGE nuisance - at least in my area and in my yard and on my driveway! I live on the lake so they are a regular pain for sure! The worst part is that they don't seem to fly North anymore and return to CANADA! My worst encounter was with some when I was walking on a walking trail and they came chasing after me - it was mating season apparently - I wasn't even close to them, did nothing to provoke them, and was going my merry way when they decided I shouldn't be there.
  3. I love these Snowmen Dan. I loved them from the first one that was shown here a little while back. I printed the photo off then and put it in the "to do someday" pile. Guess I should get to the "someday." Thanks for sharing and giving the general details on how you completed.
  4. Very cute idea Dan. I really like it, especially the extra step of the penguins. Too cute. I have a similar snowman cut out and put together. Just need to take the time to put the paint or stain on it. Sad thing is - he's been laying around for probably a year waiting on that. The idea I had seen was to make him a snowman on one side, and a scarecrow on the other to make him "two dimensional" and more useful. I never "finished" because I couldn't decide if I wanted to "paint" or stain them. Guess I just need to flip a coin and get 'em done like you! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Excellent piece of artwork Rick. I know that was a labor of love. Yes, working with the wonder wheel is not as "Easy" as Judy makes it look - especially when you watch her do it. However, like anything with some time and patience and lots of scrap - we hope to get there. I do know from taking some of her classes, and seeing her online on a couple of sites, she is always willing to help out, give additional help or information on doing the work with any of her patterns and the wonder wheel if you reach out to her. I am sure she would be happy to give more help/information if you wanted to ask her directly. You can do so through the contact info. on her website. She does say that they human face is THE hardest thing you will ever do in doing Intarsia work. I think you are well on your way. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Excellent Helmut. thanks for sharing.
  8. Excellent work and I am sure appreciated by the recipient. Your willingness to take this on as "pay it forward" mission is commendable. I know that many will be honored and humbled by receiving your work. Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of somehow incorporating the "color" to denote the type of cancer if you can easily do so. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Glad to hear you had another great show Scott. Guess that big yellow cage might have drawn some attention perhaps! Maybe it was just the location - you know what relators say - Location, Location, Location! Hope that shop is inside where you can spend the winter months rebuilding up your supply for next year's shows! Good thing you are retired! Can you somehow incorporate that big yellow cage into a display next year? Hang things off the beams perhaps?
  10. Glad you found a light that works great for you. Looks like it does give off good light. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Everything looks great Edward. Hope you did well. Thanks for taking the photos and the time to share them here.
  12. Very cute. thanks for sharing your pics.
  13. Good luck Scott. Glad they gave you extra space to make up for it. Might tell them you aren't sure about coming back if they give you the same bad spot next year (unless of course you do even better this year. )
  14. Welcome - always glad to help out and give back when I can. Everyone here has been quite welcoming and sharing here and I appreciate it. Denny, I still hope to get down to your shop sooner then later. Maybe the week after Thanksgiving I can get there.

Very nice work. I love those Santa and Mrs. patterns from Judy Gale Roberts. I have them on my long "to do list." You did great work on them. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I agree, excllent piece of work you have done. thanks for sharing.
  17. Just as nicely done as your animal puzzles Iggy and it never hurts to expand your supplies into other areas. Might could qualify as an "animal" puzzle since it's a "beetle" or a "bug" Thanks for sharing.
  18. A beautiful piece of artwork that is enhanced by the framing work that you did. Thanks for sharing.

  23. That's just absolutely beautiful and stunning piece of artwork. BUT, there is no way I would let anyone throw darts at it! Especially my son and his friends - I've seen the damage they can do with darts! Thanks for sharing your photos.
  24. Hi Clifford and welcome to the forum. I am from East TN and a relative newbie myself around here but I think you will find that everyone here is more then willing to help out as needed. Look forward to seeing what you do with your saw.
