  1. ya I have them hung up as we come upstairs at our place, we only have one child so its cool. He is only 5 and he figured out the symbolic nature of the two.

  6. From that view your correct however it was cut from flooring samples that have uneven surface on the back side of the piece is mounted on. I am going to make a float frame for it in time

  9. Thanks folks, when I grew up in Canada you could simply place your unwanted furniture at the end of the driveway and garbage men would pick it up.... Not so anymore and charges to dispose of items has resulted in people trying to give it away before they incurring costs and finding a way to transport to the dump

  15. Hi, I am new here, I have been scrolling for about 16 months now and love it. My mantra is to re-use/repurpose and recycle materials so that they don't hit the landfill. 95% of my pieces are cut from old desks, chairs, flooring and the like. I pick up peoples scraps bring them home, cut them up into salvageable pieces, glue them together and create my next canvas. I tend to favour half to three quarter inch stock for two reasons, one its more common for me to get and secondly it adds such a great dimension to the piece. Happy scrolling!
