  1. Holy Cow that's some clean cutting. Looks great!
  2. That's cool. I'm sure your grandson will love it. As for the UR#3, if I could only use one blade from now on that would be it. Of course there's an awful lot I haven't tried yet.
  3. Great job. I really like that pattern.
  4. They look great. Very good idea.
  5. Nice job. I like those.
  6. Thank you. I did the intersecting word art on Inkscape and the medical and cross country signs are from clip art.
  7. One of mom's nurses wanted a plaque for her son who just graduated from nursing school. He was also on a scholarship for cross country running. Had fun designing this one. Pretty fun to cut it too but glad it's done and stayed in one piece.
  8. Beautiful job. Great idea and execution.
  9. Great job and great idea!
  10. Very, very nice!
  11. Thank you so much Marg. I used textured scrapbook paper for the color on the backer. Up close it sort of looks like fabric. Maybe you can benefit from my trial and error on the red Patriot part. After some unnecessary work I printed out another pattern. I used an exacto knife and scissors to cut out the Patriots. In time I realized you don't to be that precise except in the areas it is actually intersecting with the other text and the pattern makes this easy to see. I used the piece I cut out as a template and traced it on the red paper then cut that out. I put a few small drops of glue on back of the wood and glued the red Patriots on, then glued the nave blue on and added a luan backer. I suppose you could use most of this process if you wanted to use paint rather than paper. Hope that makes sense. Charlie
  12. Thank you. I used textured scrap book paper for the color on the backer. I printed an extra pattern to help with cutting out the red for Patriots. I like cutting wood better than paper!
  13. That looks great. I haven't tried that type of cut yet but that makes me want to give it a try.
  14. Simple but beautiful!
  15. My sister and I graduated from a small school in Walnut Grove, Alabama called West End. She is now a teacher there so I made this for her classroom. Go Patriots!
  16. Very cool. Love how you can distinguish different body parts although there are no lines.
  17. Excellent job!
  18. Looks great! Cool idea.
  19. Nice work. Middle one reminds me of a quote from Field of Dreams by Doc Graham. "You know we just don't recognize the most significant moments of our lives while they're happening. Back then I thought, well, there'll be other days. I didn't realize that that was the only day."
  20. Wow! Lots of patience right there. Looks awesome.
  21. We all need to enjoy the small stuff and smile more.
  22. Those look great. Don't breath too hard on the A in FAITH. I would've been nervous cutting that.
  23. A nurse at my mom's nursing home asked me about making something for her son's graduation. Had I not come across Scroll Saw Village awhile back I couldn't have made this for her. Thanks again Travis for the great tutorial. These things take me hours start to finish. I'd starve if I was trying to make a living.
  24. Wow, that's a lot of puzzles. Makes my neck hurt just looking at them.
  25. Good job Uncle Dick!
