  1. Very cool, and really nice job! I’ve used a couple of paper cutting patterns. Brought to mind a documentary I recently watched. My Octopus Teacher. Fascinating stuff.
  2. Nice job! I know the love it.
  3. Love it! Really nice job! I’d love to visit some day. Hope your Canada Day was great. Do you guys do fireworks, cook outs etc?
  4. I love it! Sort of outside the box art. Great job!
  5. Great story! So cool that he didn't bring up who he was. I've always heard he was a really good person, Rhodes Scholar, pilot, etc. Not mentioning his fame as a singer is impressive. I'll send you a copy of the pattern in a PM.
  6. Beautiful , intricate pattern!
  7. This may be my favorite pattern I’ve done. This 8 track was a big part of my teenage years. I was proudly showing the pattern to my wife, who takes her role of keeping me humble very seriously. She said, “Cousin Oliver from The Brady Bunch!” It’s about 7”x8”, done in 1/2” white oak with #1 and #3 FDURs. If you’d like the pattern let me know and I’ll PM it to you. I did some adding, subtracting and adjusting as I cut it.
  8. Beautiful project, Frank!
  9. Nice job, Paul!
  10. Great job. I love fence decorations.
  11. Love how you did that piece! Beautiful.
  12. Beautiful job!
  13. I saw the pattern years ago and it made me smile too. Glad I finally took the time to cut it. Thought about hanging it by my grill.
  14. Fun little Botas Helder pattern done in cedar sapwood with a cedar heartwood backer. I imagine one of the grandkids will claim this one, but I love how the wood looks with it. “A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.” -Willie Wonka
  15. Well, thank you very much! You’re very kind!
  16. One of the most soothing voices ever. I had always heard Charlie Chaplin wrote Smile, and I hated that because he was apparently not a good man at all, marrying teenagers, treating women badly and such. I love the lyrics and it tainted it for me thinking he wrote them. Turns out he did write the music but not the words. Silly I guess but I’m glad
  17. No. Paul got it. Nat King Cole.
  18. Haven’t done one of these in a while. Can you identify this crooner? He always makes me smile. ***Paul, @Fab4 got it with Nat King Cole. I wouldn’t have picked this piece of oak out because of the busy grain, but it was a piece I had left over from making a threshold and he’ll just be on my wall so I can live wth it. Smile!
  19. Great work on a very intricate pattern! I hate spirals too. I know they have their place and I have some but I rarely use one. Most of my patterns have sharp inside corners and those two don't get along well. So sorry about your pain. My wife and I can sympathize.
  20. In her eyes, it will be your finest work. Way to go Grandma.
