  1. Beautiful job! I haven't played in years but that makes me want to.
  2. Looks great!
  3. I like that!
  4. All of it looks great.
  5. I love mine, though I've never had another so I don't know how it compares to others. The motor burnt out when it was around 3 years old but I had registered it for the lifetime warranty and got it repaired free. I don't treat it quite as rough now and keep it blown out more often.
  6. My first shop area was in the carport behind me in the picture with me and my youngest daughter Bella shoveling the 12 tons of rocks I hauled to the back yard in a wheel barrow. When my neighbor put a day sleeper sign in the window above the silver Honda also seen in that picture I decided it was time to build a shop. Also seen in the pics are my older daughter Ryan helping out with the compactor, my son Chris helping me with the trusses, and my nephew Kirby helping out on the siding. And finally the inside of my completed happy place. The Pop's Shop string art sign was made by my daughter Ryan and my first grandson Ryder. I'm blessed with a wonderful family!!!
  7. Not a very detailed shot but this is my happy place. My daughter and grandson made the string art Pop's Shop sign with his little hand print! 1
  8. I'm recouping well from my neck surgery but will still be out of the shop for a while. I made this some time back. I worked on a farm for several years during high school and college. I recently saw this cool picture of the wife of the farmer that I worked for on her facebook page and surprised her with this. The layout of the picture made for a fun wooden 3D representation of it. Hope to be back in the shop in a few weeks.
  9. I have to use my Webster frequently.
  10. Not a word I use much but great use of juxtaposition!
  11. Cool. The plywood edges on its back give it a great look.
  12. I'm going to be out of the shop for a few weeks. I'm having my fifth neck surgery this Thursday. I've had 5 of my 7 discs fused, now having the last 2 done. We'll see if this helps or hurts with pain while on the saw. No accident, just degenerative discs. Anyway, I'm glad I found this community of great people when I did so I can at least watch what you're making while I recoup. Also hope to use the down time to learn Inkscape! Any prayers greatly appreciated. Charlie.
  13. This place is an ocean of great ideas. I'll definitely be making this for my shop wall. Thanks!
  14. That's funny!
  15. That's beautiful all around! I love the 3D look of the maple on that front roundover. Bet it looks even cooler in person. I need to try one of those for my daughter one day when I'm feeling like Superman. Great job.
  16. Really like that. Think I'll try one soon.
  17. Thank you so much for the information. I'm relatively new to this but know enough to recognize precision. With the sharpness of those letters I assumed you weren't using spirals but with that many turns of the board I'm surprised it only took 14 hrs. Great piece of art.
  18. That is beautiful! You cut like a machine. Mind if I ask what blades you used and how thick the wood is? I'm gaining so much knowledge here, "Standing on the shoulders of giants".
  19. Nice picture. I saw a hawk fly away with a snake last summer. Gotta love nature.
  20. You guessed correctly! And thanks.
  21. Made this for a Tide fan at the nursing home my mom is in. He's a quadruple amputee with a great attitude. Makes me think twice before whining.
  22. Nice cutting. Very sparkly.
  23. Thank you. I bought an old desk to try to restore and it turned out to be too far gone. The wood in the stand is from it.
  24. Thank you. It really looks great. Great gift for your dad. I pray all goes well for him in this new season of life. Going through a similar time with my mom. Blessings, Charlie
  25. Wow. Could I ask about the thickness of the wood and what blade you used. Just trying to learn from the masters.
