Rustic Deer Silhouette With Hunting Theme This is a newer Steve Good design. I trimmed the pattern out and attached it to my material with clear packing tape (clear packing tape helps lubricate the blade and reduce burn marks) The main scroll work is 1/4 inch material and the backer board that includes the antlers is 1/2 inch material. I drilled all of my pilot holes with my amazing @seycoscrollsaw Scrollers drill I then cut everything out on my @deltamachinery scroll saw with number 5 ultra reverse tooth blades (scrolling took around an hour as I was also messing with the laser) After the pieces were cut, I removed the waste and sanded both the front and back of the pieces with 180 @klingsporswoodworkingshop sandpaper in my vibrating palm sander (an orbital sander would be too aggressive to sand scroll work) Then it was time for staining, and I used a light @minwaxusa stain and a darker stain to add some color difference. After that dried, I glued the pieces together with Medium Grade CA Glue. And after that dried, I gave the piece several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss for a finish and protection. I made this for a good friend who is an avid outdoorsman. Great way to spend a morning in the workshop. . . #ArtisanPirate

Jesus Loves Me This I Know For The Bible Tells Me So This unique design came from an older (Spring 2015 Issue 58) of @scrollsawwoodworking by @foxchapelpublishing I photocopied the pattern and attached it to a leftover piece of 3/4 inch Oak laminated cabnit grade plywood with clear packing tape. I then used my @seycoscrollsaw Scrollers Drill to drill all my pilot holes. I originally took this piece to @klingsporswoodworkingshop for my demo and brought it back home and finished it on my @deltamachinery Scroll Saw with number 5 ultra reverse tooth blades. I then removed the pattern and sanded it smooth with 180 grit Klingspor Sandpaper. I stained it with @minwaxusa wood stain and then when it dried, I gave it several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss for a finish! This was a very fun project! And it brings back memories of my Grandmother singing Bible Hymns to me when I was little. Swipe to see all pics! . . #ArtisanPirate

Hey Everyone! In this hopefully informative video, I try to show you all the importance of being Ambidextrous on the scroll saw by being able to feed into both the left side and right side of the blade thus, maximizing your scroll saw table and work surface. I also show some production work on the scroll saw as I cut out part of an order for my friend Jim at Shop Dog Turnery! Hope you all like the video! #ArtisanPirate
