  1. This coming February we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and I still can't do enough for her. Thanks for your encouraging comment.
  2. Wonderfully creative idea and beautiful workmanship!
  3. Thank you. With the enjoyment I got from doing this I'd do it all over again...if it wasn't so time-consuming.
  4. Thank you. My wife truly was surprised and happy to have it.
  5. Since the design came from a photo of Egyptian artifacts I would imagine it does say something. The portion of the artifact that I copied is about a tenth of the whole image. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  6. Actually, I think the crack is my favorite touch. Thanks for the compliment.
  7. Thanks Dave!
  8. Thank you so much.
  9. Thanks for the compliment.
  10. It's not the typical scroll saw project, but it was a lot of fun. Thanks
  11. My wife and I have a room in our house decorated with Egyptian art work, and such. So this was a perfect addition.
  12. Thanks Dan. It was a lot of fun working on it.
  13. Marg, thanks for the vote of confidence.
  14. Well done arraignment and composition. Love the colors of the air planes. The horse presentation is great!
  15. I'm with Marg about the last horse. It's just my style. Looks like you'll do quite well at you showing. Good luck!
  16. My wife really likes ancient Egyptian art so I thought I'd make her an Egyptian artifact. Yeah, I know, sounds kind of crazy, but it was fun doing it as it's for her birthday. This is made of two layers of plywood and a mixture of white sand and sawdust glued to the scroll cut plywood. My wife likes it, so, so do I. I hope you do too.
  17. Cinthia, I absolutely love your designs and techniques. Delightful and refreshing!
  18. I can only imagine what size and kind of project my scrap pile would make. I'm sure it wouldn't look nearly as good as yours. Really nice work!
  19. Clever idea! I like it!
  20. Dick, the blue you used for the background is really attractive with the blond wood. Very attractive work!
  21. Thank you for all of the wonderful comments about the Cthulhu Game Box for my son. Each of you has continued to encourage me to press on and with my scroll sawing crafts. I don't do a large volume, so what I do has to be worth all of the spare time and effort. Thank you, again!
  22. Since the subject of my project can't be classified as a "Spring" project I felt this would be the better place to show my latest project. It's a game box for my eldest son and daughter-in-law who enjoy role playing games, and really enjoy H.P. Lovecraft. So, the next time we are in Denver (we're in Arizona), we'll surprise them with this Cthulhu Game Box. It measures 9" side-to-side, 10" front-to-back, and 6.5" top-to-bottom. The main image on the lid is inset and detailed with wood burning, and the various icons around the box are heat transferred.
  23. Bill, you did the right thing by joining this wonderful family of very creative people. Welcome!!
  24. You've been blessed with a creative gift and it's good to see that you're using it. Welcome!!
  25. That pattern would go well here in Arizona. There are a lot of geckoes here.
