  5. Check it out again and look for the library. Thousands of designers have donated designs. Seen people plan out woodshops, home furniture by using the library online. RJF
  6. Funny I use the same thing on all our computers. My wife gets frustrated that some of the sites change security so we have to manually find the password and user name on Roboform. RJF
  7. Seen Linux for years. Most programs offer Windows or Mac. Never investigated 'on the list', weather all the software has to be converted to a Linux version, or trashed and find equivalent offers.
  8. Let me know if you ever buy it. I would be curious about how the other features work. Been using it 3 years and have yet to have the money. This winter hit 25 below and trashed 2 car batteries. So much for saving. RJF
  9. Been around computers a few years. My first college computer class used a 'mainframe computer'. Had to go to the computer center and create 'punch cards'. My first home computer was a Commador 128. Gone through many software programs over the years. Now my wife and I are disabled vets, we scrape by on a little VA income. Never seem to have the money for a software program and always look at free programs. Many have free with the option to buy with more features. I have used this next program for years and like it. Wish the money was there to kick in for a lic. There is a group of software that captures the screen. When there is something I want to save for later I use this software to capture it. Anything from an article to a picture of a woodshop that I like the setup. Screenhunter 7 has three versions. Free, Plus and Pro. They range from $20 to $30 and a group package of $99. I have used version 6 and on startup, and it goes right to the software screen. I loaded ver 7 and it has a confusing difference for the free software. The request for lic comes up, just close that window and the free limited version will work. Another thing with this software is every time it's loaded it will ask if you want to load it as if it's being installed again. Always click yes. This comes from old programming days of starting the software and when its closed it has to be reloaded. When the software is first loaded click the SAVE IMAGE, on the sidebar. Click one of the options of how you want to save your screen capture, 'picture'. On the bottom is Folder, which is where you want the file to be saved, ie png, jpeg. I believe the default is desktop. Click back to capture. If you want to capture an image click the top camera. A crosshair will appear. Put the crosshairs on the top left corner of the picture, hold the left mouse button and move the rectangle to surround the picture. Let go of the left button, if your sound is on you will hear a click. PICTURE TAKEN! It will save as Screenhunter num. ie Screenhunter01.jpeg, Screenhunter02.jpeg. Take the time to rename these during or after your use or it's going to become confusing to find what you want. The video camera on top is a new 7 feature to screen grab videos. I believe the version limits it to 1 minute. This is a nice new toy to play with for Saint Patrick’s Day and my anniversary which my wife will want me to remember. 10. Lived in Northern IL when my wife and I got out of the Navy. Town next to us had farmers markets, craft shows, 4th celebration fair. Very busy. The town I lived in tried a craft fair. For the big day there was one guy and a folding table in the middle of a parking lot. For some reason, they never had it again. RJF
  11. Fantastic. Added bells and whistles, String some battery powered Xmas lights from behind, just lay them inside.. Just a thought, it sparkles on its own. 12. You have inspired me to mix two fields! They charge a hefty fee for physical fitness centers and they charge to rent tools. I'm going to set up a woodshop with bicycles connected to woodworking machinery. Tablesaw, joiner, planer, drill press, scroll saw, lathe, ..... I'm going to charge for people to exercise on the bicycles and charge woodworkers to rent the machines! Ahh, I can see it now $$$$$. RJF
  13. Got a 30 year old craftsman that still run, jealous. Runs straight out of the box? Is it battery powered or does the box supply power? RJF
  14. Spent years in various professional fields, one was electronic engineering. I had to learn Computer Assisted Design, CAD, in college and a variety of them to create engineering projects. Now a days they have CAD software for every engineering field and they even function to simulate the circuit, running car, rocket, missile. These CAD packages are very pricey so except for a few rich builders, few can afford them at home. I still do some design on a bench, but don't have the software. One software package I came across for a variety of fields is called 'Sketchup'. https://www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing#for-personal Its unique that a rectangle can be created and grabbed and pushed to a 3d block. Then a area of the block selected and push in to create windows. The software has been around for years and has free and plans. It has a complete library of everything from people to lumber to circuit parts. There are also loads of tutorials. Sign up under free and get a download. Its a fun and powerful program for around the house or a full out building or cabinet design. RJF
  15. I'm sorry for your loss. RJF
  16. Anybody ever try a box of flooring planks and scroll on them. Between clearance, hardwood, vinyl, bamboo, laminate. It would seem to be a local source of cheap cutting wood with look a likes and actual wood. RJF
  17. You can still buy a cheap one and fit it in your place. RJF https://www.amazon.com/Battat-Garage-Shape-Sorting-Toddlers/dp/B07BF27RP1/ref=sr_1_6?ascsubtag=1ba00-01000-a0049-win10-dsk00-nomod-us000-gatwy-feature-SEARC&keywords=toy+garage&qid=1552682195&s=gateway&sr=8-6&tag=amz-mkt-fox-us-20
  18. I have a corded Rockwell 4 inch saw. It's now cordless. I also use there clamp stand which is heavy, stable, strong clamping and portable for apartments and outside. Use a mini saw or yours with a high tooth blade, make a track saw guide, if you saw a thin sheet put them between two scrape sheets or at least backed by a scrap sheet. 19. Be careful using any treated wood, if you decide to use a preserved wood. Mask up and watch caring wood dust in on your clothes. There are warnings just for cutting it outside. RJF
  20. I'm of Royal decent and don't handle money. "PLEASE SEND ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS AND MY ROYAL ACCOUNTANT WILL SEND PAYMENT ONCE WE RECEIVE YOUR PRODUCTS". If you want to verify my address or phone number the palace is being refurbished and the phone satellite isn't overhead. Sincerely, Royal Prince of His Majestys Service and King of All Mankind, RJF
  21. Looking at old posts. One clamp method, use string and pencil or chopstick. Tie a string and use the pencil to twist tight. Cheap shop weights, athletic socks with sand. Or, fill with rice and has added use. Heat sock with rice in the microwave until warm or hot. If too hot wrap in a towel. Use as heating pad. RJF
  22. I did put washing in a dishwasher since its handy enough to stuff kitchen utensils, plates into. I cooked with a cheap wooden utensil set and changed to heatproof silicone utensils. I would guess most don't go through every coffee cup, storage containers and see if its "dishwasher safe". Gotten to the point I have seen experiments of putting ears of corn with the husk in the dishwasher to cook. The person posting it said it came out great. Anybody put a ball cap in the dishwasher lately? Wonder how many people invest in hardwood spoons and spatulas? RJF
  23. Just watch the video. RJF https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Double-Scrollsaw-Blade-Life/
